Kuala Lumpur, April 2015 – At first glance, Sir Bob Geldof and Richard Quest may not have much in common, but the Founder of Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8, and the CNN International Anchor are both among the five ‘recognised innovators’ who will take the stage at the upcoming The Business of Innovation 2015.

Following the huge success of its past events, The London Speaker Bureau will once again host The Business of Innovation on the 21st of April 2015 at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

At this exclusive forum, Sir Bob Geldof and Richard Quest will be joined by Mark Thompson, CEO and co-founder of Virgin Unite Mentors; Rolf Dobelli, author of Europe’s best-selling business book, ‘The Art of Thinking Clearly’; and Red Hong Yi, Malaysia’s very own artist-architect. These five acclaimed individuals are highly regarded visionaries in their own right, and they will share their personal perspectives on business, the future of innovation and what it takes to succeed today and in the future.

Recognised as one of the most powerful conferences for business leaders and industry captains in Asia, The Business of Innovation (TBOI) aims to instil an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing leaders today, providing unparalleled access to the ideas and opinions of thought leaders plus fresh insights into tomorrow’s major strategic issues. The forum also aims to provide innovative development solutions that will drive growth and profits for organisations, and present an excellent networking platform for delegates.

The Business of Innovation (TBOI) 2015 is presented by Maybank Berhad, with Malaysian Airlines as the official airline partner for the event.

According to Harrienath Pillay, Regional Director, South-east Asia and Hong Kong at The London Speaker Bureau, “The Business of Innovation 2015 is a priceless opportunity for business owners, company executives, entrepreneurs and leaders of organisations. In this era of innovation, creative thinking is everything and having a competitive edge is what sets apart industry leaders from the rest of the pack. This year’s speakers are of such a high calibre, and delegates will leave with their minds expanded and more enriched, having had the opportunity to tap into the diverse insights of these great personalities.”

Sir Bob Geldof is an influential and inspiring speaker, known for his socio-political and uplifting presentations. After emerging as one of the most well-known pop personalities of his era, the UK-born Geldof formed Live Aid in 1985, in aid of starving children in Africa. His unique presentations and insights always leave lasting and powerful impressions, and will undoubtedly do so again when he speaks about ‘Making a Difference’ at the upcoming TBOI.

One of the most instantly-recognisable members of the CNN team, Richard Quest famously covers an extensive range of breaking news and business stories as well as feature programming, including many of the major news events of recent years. Currently working as a CNN anchor and correspondent, Quest has built-up an almost unparalleled reputation in the broadcasting business and amassed his own large following in a fairly short time. Quest’s dynamic and distinguished style will certainly be present when he delivers his talk on the ‘Quest for Innovation’ at the upcoming Forum.

Hailed as one of America’s top investors with the ‘Midas’ touch by Forbes Magazine, Mark Thompson will focus on ‘Success Built to Last’ – a topic that he should be familiar with, given his string of achievements and accomplishments to date. In addition to being CEO and co-founder of Virgin Unite Mentors, Sir Richard Branson’s network for executive coaching and entrepreneurial innovation, Thompson is also Founding Patron of Richard Branson’s Entrepreneurship Centre, and successfully invests in various entertainment software and healthcare companies.

Rolf Dobelli on the other hand originally acquired his commercial pilot license and was a CEO and Contractor, before he embarked on writing. His successful book, ‘The Art of Clear Thinking’ – Europe’s best-selling business book in 2013, led the bestseller list of Der Spiegel for more than six months. His thoughts on success, false starts and mass opinions will feature in his presentation, ‘Think Inc. – Building a company for the Future’.

Malaysian artist-architect, ‘Red’ Hong Yi, is known as “the artist who likes to paint, but not with paint brushes”. Red became an internet sensation in 2012, after she dribbled a basketball in red paint and created a giant portrait of basketballer Yao Ming – a process that was videotaped and uploaded on the internet by a friend.  Her unusual creativity and art have captured the fascination of various international media, and she will engage the audience at TBOI with the aptly titled, ‘The Art of Creativity’.

Following the keynote sessions by the five speakers, delegates will also have the opportunity to participate in a lively discussion with them to exchange further ideas and thoughts on leadership.
