Malaysia’s Human Resources Minister, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said Kuala Lumpur is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the recruitment of Cambodian domestic helpers in early September. He added that the date of signing the agreement will be set after views from several ministries, including the Home Ministry, are completed. He said once the MOU has been signed, Malaysia would be able to bring in domestic helpers from Cambodia. He said that his ministry had also resolved issues with all source countries, and Malaysia had started accepting workers from all countries including Bangladesh and Indonesia.
