At the HR Summit 2020, taking place at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast, Queensland, 16 – 18 March, Goldsmith will present “Work is Love Made Visible: Formulating Powerful, Purpose-driven Leadership”.

“In periods of change, stability comes from purpose. One of life’s most difficult treasure hunts – finding purpose – lies at the core of leading through uncertain, tumultuous times,” Goldsmith said. “The universal struggle of individual purpose and meaning translates into real-world action, as leaders turn challenges into opportunities, through sacrifice and change. This timeless, yet timely, dynamic is at the core of success on a personal as well as organisational level, through a genuineness that is potent and resilient.”

In his presentation, Goldsmith will discuss his perspectives around harnessing the power of purpose to formulate a vision that can rally a complex, diverse, dispersed workforce in a new technologically-enabled world; going back to basics on translating vision into action and understanding what makes people tick in a shared rhythm; and exploring a personal, as well as collective, perspective on purpose and meaning, in ever more unpredictable times.

Goldsmith’s Ph.D. is from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where he was the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. He teaches executive education at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. He is also one of very few executive advisors who have worked with over 150 major CEOs and their management teams.
