Also provided are four weeks of fully paid family caregiver leave, and sick leaves that can be used as mental health leaves.
LIVING AND WORKING WITH THE PANDEMIC
Adjusting to pandemic life has become extremely difficult and taking its toll on personal and professional lives.
To adapt to the new challenges, the company was resolute and swift in implementing workplace policies that ensure all its employees can work effectively and safely while keeping their peace of mind.
At the onset of the pandemic, Microsoft Philippines was among the first companies in the country to close its office immediately and encourage its employees to work from home and go digital even before the government implemented lockdown measures.
SKILLING FOR THE FUTURE
In line with Microsoft’s philosophy of “purpose-driven technology”, they launched the “Para sa Bayan Program”, which aims to make a difference to the lives of 25 million Filipinos over the next three years by stimulating digital transformation, building coalitions for responsible innovation, closing the skills gap and enhancing employability, and creating a sustainable societal impact.
NATION BUILDING THROUGH PHILANTHROPY AND INNOVATION
With the Philippine concept of “Bayanihan,” which exemplifies “spirit of civic unity & cooperation among Filipinos,” Microsoft is aligning its mission to “empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more” through its philanthropic work in the country that focuses on empowering the Filipino People and investing in Communities. Turning vision into action, the company focuses on enabling individuals and communities with digital skills through its various programs and providing the less fortunate and less accessible communities with aid and support. In 2020 alone, Microsoft donated a total of US$3 million in grants and donations.
