Social media mogul Mark Zuckerberg has announced his project to bring Internet connectivity to five billion in India including remote villages. He will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss ways to collaborate on several ambitious government projects, notably the Clean India and Digital India campaigns. In a country that has some of the best engineers in the world and a vibrant technology industry, about 80% of its people still do not have access to the Internet. This project named Internet.org, which aims to connect more people to the Internet, is a joint initiative of Facebook, Ericsson, MediaTek, Nokia, Opera, Qualcomm and Samsung.
