ON SEMICONDUCTOR BINH DUONG CO., LTD
Our major strength is substrate technology for power packaging covering all power ranges with Front End, Back End and Plating facilities. Our main products are divided into two major categories: Insulated Metal Substrate Technology (IMST) and Direct Bonded Copper (DBC)
We aim to be the highest quality of Power Substrate for different industry of applications. We will deliver quality, cost effective products on time with industry leading performance. IMST forms electronic circuits on plates of aluminum which has been proven to be reliable and cost-effective, with high efficiency and low noise emission. DBC is widely used in high power modules such as Intelligent Power Module (IPM) and Power Integrated Module (PIM) due to its excellent heat spreading ability, good thermal conductivity and excellent electrical isolation.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AT ON SEMICONDUCTOR BINH DUONG CO., LTD.
We strived to hear employee voice, expectation and feedback with 9 channels of communication to collect employee opinion. 24 hours x 7 days HR hotlines facilitates the shifted employees to keep in touch for updated changes in any company policies and get direct answer to their enquiries and concern. The 2019 Employee Engagement Pulse Survey conducted by US National Business Research Institute (NBRI) enabling our benchmarking in the semiconductor industry. On Semiconductor overall score is 71% exceeding Engagement Target of 69% and far above the industry average of 50%.
We show our people values through the Diversity and Inclusion programs, with yearly Diversity Week for employees better understanding about the different cultural background that our expatriates comes from, and conduct visit to employees who belongs to minority ethnic group in Vietnam. Besides, “Generations at Workplace” seminar is conducted to promote harmonious workplace through recognition of difference experience gained from diversity in aged group.
We are in the process of culture alignment to ensure our readiness for the rapid business growth in Direct Bonded Copper. The alignment is based on our 2019 Culture Survey result by which we focus on Learning and Innovation. To transform our Binh Duong factory to be self-learning oriented organization, Technical Ladder Program, Continuous Improvement Program and Subject Matter Expert program are rolled out to enhance our technical competence. This will significantly streamline the depth of technical resources to ensure our technical staff are being supported as they enhanced their equipment & production process technical knowhow. In additional with on line directed learning in soft skill, all supervisors and section heads are thoroughly coached to follow our Leadership Pathways Model to become an effective people manager within 12 months comprehensive training.
ON Semiconductor Binh Duong together with the “2018 HR Asia Best Companies To Work For” award winner of ON Semiconductor Vietnam Co., Ltd continues to strengthen our Corporate Branding in Vietnam through various programs. In 2019, Cadetship Programs are set up through partnership with first tier universities in Ho Chi Minh. We train college fresh graduates about the basics of semiconductor processes and become a ready-now replacement for ON Semiconductor’s future manpower requirements in any engineering discipline.
Besides, work life balance is what we advocate for encouraging our employees to participate in Social Responsibilities activities. We have established effective policies to provide time off for employees who participates in Company organized CSR activities during weekdays.
Labor Union used to be our major partner for Charity Work to orphanages and Home for the Elderly within Binh Duong Province. Our employees including shifted operators are more than happy to spend their leisure time to provide voluntary service to do the cleansing work, looking after infants, and donated daily necessities to support the people in poverty.
