Our inclusive and dynamic culture makes KPMG unique, and is defined by the collective behaviors of each and every individual that makes up our firm. Our people, past and present, are responsible for building a wonderful legacy and creating KPMG’s defining story. KPMG – through its people, client focus, values, and impact on society – is a great place to work and build your career.
FROM WORLD-CLASS LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS TO GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES
The world doesn’t stand still and neither will employees at KPMG Vietnam. Our people’s knowledge and capabilities are a powerful source of differentiation for KPMG and vital to achieving our Vision of being the Clear Choice. Everyday is an opportunity to learn and grow and KPMG Vietnam is committed to the ongoing development of our people. At KPMG, we provide a range of innovative learning opportunities to suit business needs and help our people to develop their skills and capabilities. The KPMG Business School (KBS) offers learning opportunities for our employees that goes beyond the classroom and provides a comprehensive learning and development framework, which combines technical training, leadership and business skills, professional qualification programs, as well as important and emerging future skills through our Digital Now Academy. Learning at KPMG is not just classroom learning but is built around the well-researched learning model of 70:20:10. This learning model is grounded in academic research and will support our employees to grow, develop their career at KPMG, and unlock their full potential.
At KPMG Vietnam, leaders are not just those at the top of the organization chart. Our “everyone a leader” framework helps our people drive their careers and role model leadership behaviours at any level. Through 2019, we’ve embedded a globally-aligned leadership and performance framework, it is at the heart of a new performance management approach, ‘Open Performance Development’ which makes clear to all our people the behaviors we expect from them and the leadership role they can play, regardless of level or position.
Our signature Chairman’s Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is a great example of how we build and develop future leaders from within and it aims to help our emerging leaders perform effectively and progress to critical leadership roles in the near future. Participants are nominated by our Partners and join an advanced 12 month leadership development program which is supported by best practices and uses a combination of blended learning methods.
The GO Program is KPMG’s global mobility program. With a Global presence in more than 155 countries, this is another example of KPMG’s commitment to support career development & continuous learning by ensuring the accessibility of career opportunities for all our people across the globe. From short & long-term assignments, to international transfers, there are a variety of ways for our employees to expand their global mind-set & experience new challenges. Above all, they can GO beyond borders to make the Difference.
PROUD OF OUR PEOPLE-CENTRIC WORKPLACE CULTURE
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. At KPMG, we believe a happy, healthy and safe environment is central to our working life and we’re passionate about our people programs and our responsibility for our staff wellbeing. It goes without saying that we comply with all applicable occupational health and safety regulations that protect both our people and our visitors. But we go a lot further than that to make KPMG a second home for everyone. One such initiative is the KPMG Care Hotline (partnered with SOS International), – a 24/7 confidential employee assistance service for information, counselling and practical advice on any of life’s daily challenges to improve any aspect of their life. Besides, we offer a wide range of activities and programs to help our people maintain a successful work-life balance such as our Mylife activities, Sporting clubs, Leadership sharing sessions, KPMG Family Day, and our much loved Feel Good Friday’s where staff come to work in casual attire and adopt agile working from any location after 12pm. In addition, KPMG’s unique reward and recognition program called Star Rewards helps us foster and promote a strong appreciation culture where quality work and living our values is truly recognized.
Our culture extends beyond good business practice. It is also underpinned by an ambition to more clearly articulate our inclusion, diversity and social impact story – both inside and outside of our organization. Diversity of backgrounds and perspectives is critical approach in every action we take to ensure equality that people can be themselves, free to speak up, learn, challenge and support each other for common goals. We create a number of programs for our female employees as well as those our LGBT employees to ensure they can be free to bring their whole selves to work, each and every day. We are also recognized for our corporate citizenship efforts we make to alleviate poverty, support education and protect and sustain the environment.
Over the last years, we have handed out a number of KPMG scholarships to local Vietnamese students who are experiencing extreme financial hardships. Our “Empowerment Scholarship” program is one of our projects aimed at supporting financial disadvantaged students, helping them overcome difficulties so they can continue their learning and achieve their academic dreams. We all feel proud to be part of KPMG. We are making a positive difference to real lives.
A critical element of KPMG’s vision is to be recognized as an ‘employer of choice’ — to recruit, retain and develop the very best people. We are here not only for helping businesses respond to changes in the global economy, but also for helping our people to flourish both as professionals and as individuals — to enjoy a challenging career, make an impact in society and get the most from their personal lives. They do so knowing that they are part of a responsible and positive culture that extends beyond them into the greater business, social and natural environment. This is what it means to work with and for KPMG.
