Lenovo’s new head HR for Asia Pacific to drive transformation initiatives
Lenovo has appointed Subhankar Roy Chowdhury to helm its human resources team in the Asia Pacific. Bringing with him a wealth of global exposure and experience, his new role will be to build leadership, cultural transformation and talent resources.
Reporting to Ken Wong, the senior vice president and president of the region, Subhankar will succeed Andrew Dahms in April.
In his previous position as the company’s executive director and global head for HR Strategy, M & A and HR Analytics, Subhankar had led his team in the development of the corporate HR strategy, integrating multiple business groups’ HR strategies, building HR Analytics functions to support HR strategy, and consulting support on HR in M & A. He has kept an impressive portfolio since joining the company seven years ago.
Subhankar holds a Masters’ degree in personnel management and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has wide experience in India, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia, where he held various leadership positions in HR consulting and HR generalist roles at Nokia, IBM Business Consulting, PWC, Siemens Information Systems and L& T. He is a speaker, panelist and contributor to contemporary HR topics, particularly on the ‘future of the workforce’, the impact of technology in organizations, and the digitization of HR.
