15 Cambodian companies have been named HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia for their employee engagement strategies which helped to motivate and communicate with their employees as the global health crisis and economic lockdown continues throughout 2021. This is evident that employee engagement has been vital for organizations to sustain and even grow their businesses.
A new proprietary platform is specifically built to measure employee engagement in real time and this year, 13,821 employees from 175 Cambodian companies took part in the HR Asia employee engagement survey via the TEAM platform. Each survey respondent completes the survey anonymously and the results are confidential as the employers only receives the survey average score of each question.
Based on the survey, 83% of the participants stated that they are encouraged to actively collaborate and work with other departments to build trust and strengthen communications, this will nurture a better working environment as the employees are familiar with the job responsibilities across different departments; and 82% happy that the organization allows a more flexible working time and working arrangements as the pandemic has made it difficult to commute to work.
82% of the survey respondents have a clear goal and mission of what they want to achieve in the organization as they would go above and beyond to achieve the organization’s goal. This reflects on the Cambodian employees as having a clear and concise communication with their employers, they will be happy to achieve and strive for excellence and growth together with the organization.
Although, there are clear objectives and communication between the employers and employees, the survey showed that 75% wished that their organization has recreational facilities be it on-site or off-site, as this would help the to boost employees’ productivity and morale.
