A GST Expo and Conference was held in the beginning of October to educate the public and businesses on the changes that will come about with the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax. Software providers, GST consultants, training providers, the authority Royal Malaysian Customs and SME Corp gathered in KLCC to address concerns and clarify facts about its implementation in business operations, and its impact upon SMEs and consumers. Malaysia is one of three remaining ASEAN countries which have not implemented GST.
