Our Culture

At FrogAsia, we believe it starts with our HEART. It is our core values, the ones we live by that anchor us in an ever-changing climate. That’s the same with our culture. Our people are our most important asset and so we constantly strive to build a place where people feel safe, valued and feel that they are able to grow. And that means making it part of our culture where it is displayed top down from the directors to the leaders to the newest joiner.

Our culture of giving

Central to this culture is showing empathy when it is most needed. For example, we have kind gestures sent to employees who’ve become new parents, and fruits and flower baskets when there are cases of hospitalization and bereavement.

We've also provided care packages when people returned to work after Covid, welcome kits and balloons for new joiners, customized prizes during our internal competitions, Christmas gifts and many more. This is simply because we love giving gifts, and we love to see the smiles on their faces! We express our gratitude to long-time employees with special treats like hotel stays, a warm "thank you" for their unwavering dedication and loyalty.

At FrogAsia, our company culture and our values are at the core of who we are. Our values are an acronym that spell HEART. Being recognised at these awards inspires us to continue to stay true to who we are at HEART and to continue to focus our purpose as a company and in building a space that is joyful, innovative and always values driven.

Continuous engagement with employees

When the pandemic hit, we were also able to transition seamlessly to a remote working situation and to quickly adapt to engaging employees online from home. To start, every Friday we did a Trivia night to have something for people to do together as they were stuck at home. Our Executive Director baked cookies and sent them to the winners weekly. At the same time, we started to explore other engagement platforms to run fun engaging activities online. We used platforms like Zoom and Gathertown to run non-work related gatherings online. We also started Coffee Meets sessions for people to engage and our ED attended every session, and that remains an ongoing initiative for us now.

Knowing how stressful lockdown could be, we also organised Unwind Day, where we scheduled a day just to do fun activities together like building nanoblocks, painting, learn calligraphy, watch a movie and so on. This has also become an initiative we continue to do yearly since then. Continuing our focus on people, in 2022, we launched an internal campaign, Ellyvate —an event where we delved into where our employees were at and how they were feeling. We conducted a survey to understand their sentiments and organized engagement activities, such as lunchtime games and trivia bingo, based on the feedback. Additionally, employees can collect stamps to redeem rewards for their participation in these initiatives.

Currently, we also have interest clubs, which are initiated by the employees. We have clubs such as i-CSR, i-frisbee, i-badminton, i-marvel and so on (with I meaning interest).

In essence, we do run many activities here at FrogAsia, and the pandemic gave us an opportunity to experiment with different things on top of what we have been doing usually. Through this period of exploration, we learnt what worked and continued the initiatives that worked well from there. Aligned with our core values, we strive to continue bringing everyone together through our HR and culture initiatives and to create a joyful workplace where everyone can enjoy themselves!
