Top-down Commitment : The company's CEO and other senior leaders are committed to DEI, and they have made it a priority for the company. This has helped to create a sense of urgency and importance among all employees.
Communication and Education : ThaiBev has communicated its DEI goals and policies to all employees, and we have been providing comprehensive training on unconscious bias and other related topics. Furthermore, ThaiBev has taken initiative in executing DEI awareness projects, ranging from activities such as Pride Month Projects to Nationality Nights, paying homage to the various backgrounds our employees hail from. These projects and information on all our DEI initiatives are communicated to the public through social media platforms such as Thai Beverage PLC. on LinkedIn, and ThaiBev People & Career on Facebook. Internally, our DEI projects are also regularly executed and circulated by our Relationship & Contribution Management Team (RCM), through internal communications platforms such as company email newsletters and our online ThaiBev E-News platform. This has helped to raise awareness of DEI issues and to create a more inclusive culture within ThaiBev, as well as positively frame public perception of our work culture at ThaiBev. Measurable Goals: ThaiBev has set measurable goals for its DEI efforts, such as increasing the number of women in leadership positions or reducing the number of discrimination complaints. This has helped to track progress and to ensure that the company is on track to meet its goals. Accountability : ThaiBev holds employees accountable for upholding its DEI policies. This includes providing training and resources, as well as taking disciplinary action against employees who violate the policies.
Continuous Improvement : ThaiBev is committed to continuous improvement in its DEI efforts. The company regularly reviews its policies and practices to ensure that they are effective and that they are meeting the needs of its employees.
By taking these steps, ThaiBev has been able to overcome the difficulties of implementing DEI policies in the workplace and to create a more inclusive culture.
ThaiBev is also focused on achieving diversity and equality in different aspects of the workforce, mainly in gender, race, age, and job level.
Diversity in Gender:
- As of 2022, the percentage of women working at ThaiBev accounts for 36.69% of our total workforce, with targets to reach 42% by the year 2030.
- Women in all management positions account for 43.15% of our total management workforce, with aims to achieve 45% by 2030.
- Women in junior management positions account for 45.77%, and women in top management positions account for 34.36% of our corresponding management workforce, with targets to achieve 50% and 40% respectively by 2030.
- Of our total hires in 2022, 80.55% accounted for new hires below the age of 30, 17.4% accounted for new hires aged between 30-50, and 2.1% represented new hires above 50.
- This decreasing percentage as the employee population ages exhibits ThaiBev’s commitment to valuing and nurturing young talents to be our leaders of tomorrow, and prioritizing internal promotion as the seniority level increases.
- Under the ThaiBev Group and our subsidiaries, our total workforce consists of employees from 23 different nationalities, ranging from countries in Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, Europe, and North & South America.
