Artificial intelligence (AI) prompt engineer is the most in-demand new job with 7,000 openings, based on a recent study conducted by Workyard, a workforce management software company. It also has the highest Google search count of 60,000, indicating a strong level of interest among individuals searching for possibilities in this field. Currently, there are 3,500 professionals, of whom approximately 920 are from the US.
This research evaluates data from Google searches, LinkedIn and Indeed job openings, as well as the number of professionals currently available. It includes one-year data between June 2022 and June 2023.
Coming in second is human integration specialist with 6,000 job openings. Although LinkedIn Jobs shows a relatively lower count of 980 openings, Indeed Jobs has about 5,020 vacancies listed. Third is 3D printing engineer with 3,000 job openings. However, its Google search count is relatively high, reaching 9,000 searches, which indicates significant interest. There are now 3,000 professionals, including 700 in the US and 2,300 worldwide. From fourth to 10th place is AI product manager (3,000 jobs), drone manager (1,500), AI research scientist (850), augmented reality experience designer (800), digital currency adviser (500), virtual reality therapist (300) and AI ethicist (nine).
