96% of Lazada Vietnam’s population and 60% of management team are millennials. Therefore, most of the talent development initiatives rotates around building millennial talents and leaders with a wide range of learning, development, and engagement programs.

Lazada’s most recognized young local talent development program is Management Associate Program (MAP) in which the local talents go through challenging assessment rounds to be selected for the 24-month eCommerce journey where they are rotated to learn and serve at various functions under an intensive training roadmap. The program design aims to build a holistic eCommerce experience so that the Management Associates could perform at their best and prepare themselves for future leadership growth.

In addition to MAP, Lazada Vietnam also builds a leadership development roadmap through the Leadership Acceleration Program (LEAP) for young talents who are identified as high performers, potential, and dedicated value demonstrators and LEAP+ for senior managers. With the intensive learning & development programs, the LEAP outcomes are to prepare the successor pipeline for management level from 01 – 02 years.

In addition to diverse skill development programs through offline and online learning channels, Lazada focuses on building typical eCommerce capabilities with international standard training formats. More than 60% of Lazadians from the eCommerce team has been intensively trained with Dragon Inn Program, an intensive category management program designed and facilitated by Alibaba Group to develop eCommerce competence for local Talents.
