China Mobile International Limited (CMI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Mobile. China Mobile is now the largest telecom operator in the world by network scale and subscriber base, and is among the top in terms of market capitalization and brand value. In order to provide better services to meet the growing demand in the international telecommunications market, China Mobile established a subsidiary, CMI, in December 2010, mainly responsible for the operation of the international business. Leveraging the strong support by China Mobile, CMI provides a full range of comprehensive international telecommunications services which include IDD, roaming, Internet, MNC services and Value Added Business across the globe.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, CMI has expanded its footprints in over 20 countries. Over 600 colleagues located in the Kowloon Commerce Centre as well as Global Network Center now support the subsidiaries around the world.
The Human Resources Division of CMI Headquarters Hong Kong consists of over 20 Human Resources professionals covering all the HR core functions. The Human Resources Business Partners Team support talent acquisition and management, the Compensation and Benefits Team leads the global payroll and benefits system set-up and review and the Learning and Organizational Development Team looks into employees’ long-term sustainable growth through various training and development programs.
The Human Resources Business Partners Team performs talent acquisition to support the company growth and work with senior leaders to align human resources priorities with the business strategy and drive comprehensive and fully integrated, sustainable human resources programs. CMI is keen to develop young talent and the Global Graduate Trainee Program provides opportunities to youths from around the globe in a multinational working environment regardless of geographical and cultural constraints. In addition to young talent acquisition, the Business Partners team supports the business strategy across regions to enhance company development as well as absorbing new insights from talents with different backgrounds and promote cultural exchange within the company.
Apart from leading the global payroll, the Compensation and Benefits team draws up and review our competitive benefits schemes and global benchmarking. On top of the statutory requirements, CMI provides life insurance, medical benefits including staffs’ dependents and annual body checkups.
