ENCORP Berhad was founded in March 2000 and was listed on the Main Market Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 11 February 2003. Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd currently owns a 67.13% stake in the company. Through the years, ENCORP and its subsidiaries have expanded their footprints in property development in Malaysia and Australia.

ENCORP’s signature properties are Strand Mall and The Strand Kota Damansara, both of which have won local and international awards such as Asia Pacific Property Awards in 2011. ENCORP employs a high standard of corporate governance which has earned regional recognition, including the Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Award 2013 and the 1st Asian Company Secretary of the Year Award 2013.

ENCORP’s Human Resource strategies have been recognised by the Malaysia HR Awards for several years. ENCORP won The Best Company to Work For in Asia 2017 and the company also won the Employer of Choice (Silver) Award at the Malaysia HR Awards 2017. ENCORP also won the Property Development Award at the Selangor Business Excellence Awards 2017, the Best Investor Relations Company Award at the Asian Excellence Recognition Awards 2017 and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Malaysia Social Media Week 2017.


At ENCORP, Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) is an important pillar embedded into the DNA of the group and is the foundation of all ethical business practices. It drives the company to be constantly engaged with all stakeholders and to be fully sensitive and responsive to the needs of the employees, shareholders, environment and community. In 2017, ENCORP hosted a programme in aid of the homeless at Pusat Transit Gelandangan Kuala Lumpur. During Ramadhan, ENCORP employees visited Pusat Kanak– Kanak Insan Istimewa Cemerlang in Selangor. ENCORP also organised a gotong–royong session at ENCORP Cahaya Alam, which brought the community and ENCORP employees together. ENCORP also hosted a dinner for orphans from Pertubuhan Rumah Anak–Anak Yatim Al-Khair in Negeri Sembilan.

Our Human Resource strategies and initiatives focus on People Development through comprehensive Training & Development, Personal Development, Technical Skills and Competencies. ENCORP has streamlined the Reward and Recognition programme through competitive Compensation & Benefits such as allowances, medical, insurance, job grading, performance bonuses and increment. ENCORP also organised its recruitment process by benchmarking with the industry best practises and procedures.


ENCORP has conducted a number of activities to develop teamwork among employees. These included monthly lunch talks that focused on knowledge-sharing in non-work areas such as welfare, health awareness, personal financial management, safety, retirement schemes and personal grooming. Bonding Sessions where each department hosts an informal high tea or lunch with the Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer allows employees to share their ideas directly with the top management. Town Hall Meetings create open sharing spaces that encourage every team or department to present updates on their projects and activities throughout the year. Flexible working schedules have also been introduced for employees to choose their working times to accommodate their personal commitments.

Training & Development is a vital part of ENCORP’s Human Resource development and the overall goal of the training and development programmes is to retain talent. To achieve this ENCORP ensures that the abilities of ENCORP employees match their job functions and that all members of the team are able to increase productivity and quality in line with the Company’s business direction. In 2017, ENCORP achieved a total of 7,603 training hours for both internal and external training courses, with an average of 634 hours per month.


Compensation and benefits are important factors in ENCORP’s Human Resource strategy to ensure a motivated workforce. In 2017, ENCORP revamped the compensation and benefits package, including, a new enhanced Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance plan that provides employees and their dependents 24-hour worldwide insurance coverage for medical treatment and hospitalisation due to accidents and illness. ENCORP also introduced a new Group Term Life insurance plan that provides employees with 24-hour worldwide insurance coverage for death, total permanent disability and partial permanent disability and critical illness. ENCORP had also improved the employees’ insurance coverage for contractual and permanent employment. Also available is the new Group Personal Accident insurance plan to provide employees 24-hour worldwide insurance coverage for death and total permanent disability due to accidents.
