Danone Impact Journey: Paving the Way for Sustainability

Danone Indonesia's commitment to One Planet One Health that marks their focus on sustainability responsibility, reflected through the concrete roadmap called Danone Impact Journey (DIJ). Through DIJ, Danone Indonesia continues to implement environmentally friendly practices, reduce its carbon footprint, and promote sustainability throughout the business chain. The company also facilitates employees to be actively involved in community development programs by sharing their expertise about the importance of sustainable practices and providing facilities that support a green lifestyle to the community.

To date, Danone Indonesia has planted more than 2.5 million trees, provided 2,500 infiltration wells, established 20 biodiversity parks, implemented other programs to support water resource sustainability from upstream to downstream, used biomass boilers and solar panels as renewable energy sources in factories. Danone Indonesia also committed to support the government in solving Indonesia Waste Plastic by building a circular ecosystem which is supported by the communities & business. As part of these initiatives, they have successfully established 4 Reduce Reuse Recycle Waste Management Sites (TPS3R) and 11 collection centers. Additionally, Danone Indonesia is implementing regenerative agriculture on 407 hectares of rice fields and educating 5 million children and 100 million consumers on how to manage waste wisely.
