At VST ECS, employees play a vital role for sustainable organization success. Thus, VST ECS has developed strategies to address employee engagement and employee experience through 4 dimensions of wellbeing; Mental, Career, Social, and Physical.

Mental Matters

VST ECS believes that mental health literacy is fundamental to achieving excellence mental health. All Mental Wellbeing Program at VST ECS were designed by the company’s internal Clinical Psychologist based on collected data from both individual and organization level to ensure that the Programs meet the needs of employees and organization. These Programs serve as a strategic long-term roadmap for VST ECS to committed – to cultivate sustainable resilience in the workplace.
  • Wellness Hours: Quarterly relaxation workshops aimed at helping employees engage in taking a break from daily work-related stress. Each 90 minutes workshop encourages employees to become self-aware by exploring their thoughts and emotions, contributing to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Individual mental health support service provided by the VST ECS's clinical psychologists. EAP is designed to provide confidential and professional assistance to employees dealing with personal and/or work-related problems that may affect their wellbeing and job performance. Employees can schedule individual session with psychologist on days and times that are convenient for them.
  • Mental Health Check-in Platform: Internal online mental health self-assessment website where employees can assess their mental health status using 3 assessment tools which are Burnout Assessment, Stress Assessment, and Depression-Anxiety-Stress Assessment Scale. All assessment tools generate real-time results. If an employee shows high-risk result on any of the assessments, a booking link for EAP service promptly provided, making it easier to seek help from professional.
  • Mental Health Resources: Educate employees on mental health via both one-way communication (Learning contents via internal Mental Health Learning Portal and Chatbot) and two-way communication (Training and Workshop)

Learning and Development throughout Employee’s Life Cycle

VST ECS prioritizes employee development by tailoring the Development Programs to align with employee lifecycle, position level, functional requirements, organizational objectives, and employee needs.
  • Onboarding Program: Employee development begins on Day 1 with the Onboarding Program which includes a Development Plan for newcomers and various Learning Activities. Learning Tools are also provided to support the learning journey throughout their first 90 days.
  • Career Management: VST ECS is committed to empowering all employees to thrive along their Career Paths. Learning and Development Program at VST ECS fosters continuous growth and encourages employees to take initiative in their professional journeys starting from Individual Career Plan, followed by Assessment, Individual Development Plan, Learning Activities, and ongoing follow-up and re-assessment.
  • Development Roadmap: At VST ECS, the Development Roadmap is an ongoing and systematic process designed to align with the required competencies and skills which cover Core, Leadership, and Functional areas. It is ensured that all development initiatives resonate with VST ECS’s vision and business strategies.
  • Talent and Succession Plan: Identifying High-Potential Employees (Talent) and implementing effective Succession Planning to ensure a smooth transition for key positions are areas of great important to VST ECS.
  • Learning Tools and Support: Every employee has equitable and continuous access to self-development resources through Learning Portal and Development Library. They can track their own development progress via the Employee Career Path & Development Dashboard. All these tools aimed at empowering employees to learn and grow potentially and sustainably, together with VST ECS.

Social Connection in a Positive Workplace

Continually fostering a positive work environment that enhances employee’ overall happiness is a top priority for VST ECS. Various social activities and events held throughout the year provide opportunities for employees to connect with colleagues from different department.
  • Staff Party: An annual social gathering for all employees to celebrate milestones, recognize employees’ contribution, strengthen relationships and boost employees’ morale and engagement.
  • Clubs: A variety of on-demand clubs are available – running, badminton, golf, table tennis
  • Marketplace: An online and onsite Marketplace enables employees to sell their goods and products during times and spaces provided.

Physical Wellbeing is a Foundation

To enhance employee’s physical health, VST ECS strives to provide facilities that foster a supportive environment, encouraging and facilitating healthy behaviors. An office gym, after-work aerobics programs, and a simulated golf course are equitably available to all. Employees can easier access amenities that help them maintain excellent physical health without the need for travel or the expense of club memberships.

Cultivating empathic culture at VST ECS.

Team effectiveness is essential for driving organizational performance. In this regard, VST ECS is dedicated to cultivating a culture rooted in understanding and empathy. Workshops and training sessions on essential people skills, such as Emotional Intelligence and Understanding Unconscious Bias were conducted for managers to enhance their skill in team management. Moreover, training follow-up is importance at VST ECS, which is why the Reflective Leadership sessions were held individually between psychologist and manager. The objectives are to engage managers in sharing meaningful insights and experiences from their best practices in managing team by demonstrating empathy and compassion, and to enable them to re-learn more effective management styles emphasizing understanding and respect.
