Established since 1995, Global EduHub stands out today as a beacon of visionary leadership in workplace practices and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion within its workforce. Beyond the transformative impact on education, Global EduHub's rich history, core principles, and steadfast commitment to cultivating an inclusive environment for its employees reflect its belief in the power of diverse perspectives, inclusive practices and equitable opportunities for all. Global EduHub's commitment extends beyond the education of young children, to also embrace an employee-centric HR policy which views talented employees as the main architects of change and innovation. The group believes that a rich tapestry of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences among its workforce is vital to enable meaningful conversations and diverse perspectives on internal strategies to improve operational practices, enhance business growth and outsmart the competition, while allowing employees opportunities to hone their innovative thinking, creativity and resilience within the workplace.

Diversity Flourishes at Global EduHub

Global EduHub, with its global footprint spanning over 80 schools across multiple countries, takes pride in cultivating a workplace where diversity is acknowledged and celebrated. The organisation understands that ethnic diversity is not just about representation but about creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. With employees coming from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and other countries with a variety of religious beliefs and ethnicities, the organisation actively promotes the appreciation and celebration of diversity through a series of engagement events, which include thematic treats that are given to employees in celebration of certain ethnic or religious festivals, alongside celebratory events during Christmas, Lunar New Year, Deepavali and Hari Raya.

Age diversity is also something which is embraced at Global EduHub, as the age of its workforce spans from the 20s to the 70s. Global EduHub believes that each team member, regardless of age, brings a unique contribution to the collaborative fabric of the workplace, and it champions an environment where the rich experience of seasoned professionals seamlessly integrates with the fresh perspectives of younger talents. This intentional intergenerational collaboration catalyzes innovation and is a key driver in enhancing the group's problem-solving capabilities.

Job Redesignation

Global EduHub values its pioneer staff and their years of service. Rather than simply acknowledging their contributions, the organisation actively engages in job redesignation initiatives to leverage their experience and institutional knowledge. This approach ensures that these valued employees can continue making meaningful contributions to the organisation's success. One example is Mdm Yuen, who is in her 70s – Mdm Yuen has worked for over 10 years as a para educator at one of the preschools, and has now been reemployed to take on an administrative role in the group’s Headquarters. Another example is Mdm Chua, who is in her 60s – Mdm Chua has been a Centre Manager at one of the schools, and the group has decided to hire an assistant Centre Manager to assist her with the intensive nature of the role so that Mdm Chua can focus more on mentoring and coaching the other staff at the school.

Commitment to an Inclusive and Supportive Work Environment

Global EduHub's unwavering dedication towards the well-being of its employees is deeply ingrained in its organizational fabric. The company takes pride in promoting a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture that nurtures a sense of belonging amongst all its employees. One notable example is the implementation of mentorship programs designed to foster cross-cultural understanding and collaboration among employees. This initiative not only supports professional development but also encourages a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect. Employees have expressed how these programs have positively impacted their organisational experience, emphasising the importance of a supportive work environment.

According to Mandy Tay, the Human Resources Business Partner at Global EduHub, "As an education company, teachers form the bulk of our workforce, and being caring and empathetic to their needs is important. We focus on staff engagement, retention, and attraction, believing that a supportive workplace fosters a nurturing environment. This ensures the well-being of our dedicated teachers and allows them to give the best to the young children under their care."

As Global EduHub Pte Ltd continues to shape the future of education, its commitment to employee well-being and diversity is a pivotal driving force of its success. The embrace of age diversity, job redesignation for pioneers, and promotion of ethnic diversity create a workplace that empowers its employees and sets a standard for how a caring and supportive environment enhances productivity and innovation in the education sector.
