When it comes to setting direction and implementing workplace policies and procedures, Westview takes a bottom-up approach. Most of the policies are proposed by their respective department heads in consultation with other relevant stakeholders to ensure that all departments have a common vision of new or improved policies. The school director will approve policies based on how well the proposed policies or amendments support the school's vision and goals. The governing board also will weigh the necessity and benefits against the available resources before approving the proposed policies that support the school's vision and goals.
All school policies, such as the health and safety policy, code of conduct, internal procedures, teaching standards, and staff and student well-being, to name a few, are approved to respond to the needs of students and school operations, as well as to comply with Cambodian laws and international school best practices. Westview has successfully completed a several steps toward accreditation with two renowned International Accrediting Bodies, Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) and Council of International Schools (CIS), which require the school to have and implement internationally recognized policies and procedures for staff and student learning outcomes in our day-to-day operations.
