A pivotal aspect of this endeavor was the establishment and integration of a cohesive global HR strategy. The execution of the HR digital transformation, coupled with the successful implementation of SAP SuccessFactors, stands out as a remarkable accomplishment, contributing significantly to securing the Best Digital Transformation Award.

Our workplace environment has also been enhanced through the implementation of digital technology, complemented by meaningful engagement initiatives across all levels of employees.

Overcoming the challenges inherent in implementing digital transformation across our organization involved a multifaceted approach. We recognized the critical importance of proper requirement gathering, thorough investigation, and meticulous planning for our HR digital transformation strategy. This encompassed selecting the right technology solution and implementation partner, identifying critical success factors, establishing support structures, and planning with a realistic timeline. Additionally, our HR teams played a pivotal role in on-the-ground change management, facilitated by a dedicated network of HR change champions who went above and beyond to meet deadlines, engage with stakeholders, and overcome obstacles. The internal HR information systems support team provided invaluable assistance. Ensuring the active involvement of key stakeholders and fostering continuous business engagement throughout the journey proved essential. Stakeholders, well-prepared for impending changes, displayed receptiveness and support, underscoring the importance of thoughtful planning and time allocation for effective stakeholder engagement.

The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors has brought about transformative changes for both managers and employees within our organization. Managers now can make informed decisions aligned with strategic objectives through the system, accessing live global data from a unified source. This has significantly improved resource allocation and the formulation of talent management strategies. On the employee front, the transformation has empowered individuals, granting them autonomy to manage their personal data, view payslips, request time off, actively participate in goal-setting and performance evaluations, and engage in external training programs. The integration of SAP SuccessFactors has not only enhanced data accuracy and reliability but also ensured compliance with multiple HR payroll systems. Centralizing HR data has effectively mitigated risks associated with data silos and duplicate entries, while regulatory compliance has been optimized, streamlining audits and enabling us to navigate the regulatory environment more effectively at Yinson.

In just over one year, our company has successfully standardized varied and outdated HR processes, creating a uniform global framework. This standardization has not only streamlined operations but has also significantly enhanced the employee experience across diverse geographies, fostering a consistent, simplified, and improved work environment. The transformation supports the cultivation of a more inclusive and open corporate culture, where feedback is actively welcomed, achievements are shared and celebrated, continuous development is encouraged, and fair and competitive rewards are in place.
