LEARNING FOR DEVELOPMENT #learningneverrstops
For L’Oréal, helping every employee to develop professionally is both central to driving performance and a question of responsibility. We have committed to ensuring that 100% of employees will annually by 2020. In 2018, this proportion grew to 88%.Our online training portal, My Learning, is integral to accelerating this ambition. Available in 27 languages, it had more than 54,100 frequent users in 2018. Employees followed 750,000 modules, which represents 185,000 hours of online training. For the first time, employees were also able to follow MOOCs offered by more than 150 universities globally. Overall, there were 3,200 registrations, and 18,000 hours of training were delivered. Till date, at least 88% of our employees globally have benefitted from at least one training session, and this number continues to grow, even in the midst of a pandemic. We also ended 2020 with higher digital learning hours per employees as compared to 2019!
L’ORÉAL SHARE & CARE (FOR YOU)
L’Oréal Share & Care Program is part of a long tradition of social innovation and care to the employees and it relies on our conviction that places people at the center of its concerns. This is a strong commitment that reflects the Group’s vision: sustainable growth goes hand in hand with a high level of social performance, with the program governed by 4 pillars – Protection, Health, Balance and Workplace. In 2021, we aim to be more agile, flexible, comprehensive and inclusive as we adapt our program to the new ways of working in the increasingly changing environment.
The Balance pillar for example, allows everyone to find the right balance to enjoy life’s best moments and personal priorities while being fully engaged at work. Our employees can enjoy a shorter week, i.e. long weekend up to 9 times a year, with our TGIF (“Thank God It’s Friday”) leave that allows them Friday afternoons off. As we look towards the future of remote working, we will also be launching a new type leave in 2022, that will enable more flexibility.
Even before the pandemic, our employees could work from home with their “WorkSmart” entitlement up to 4 days per month! This practice will continue even with increased days after the pandemic as we embrace the new ways of working.
Not only that, we seek to play a part in our employees’ life occasions - whether it’s getting married, the birth of a new child, a work anniversary or the loss of a loved one, we support our employees with both time and monetary resources.
