EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Virtual Group CEO Dialogue Sessions
Our virtual Group CEO dialogue sessions serves as an excellent two-way platform for our employees to directly connect and engage with our Leadership Team, as well as provide them an opportunity to candidly share their thoughts or ask any burning questions they have on their minds. Employees greatly appreciated this initiative as they felt valued knowing they are being listened to. It also serves as a strong testament of our Leadership Team’s commitment to the welfare of our employees.

Employee Engagement Survey
We launched our first Employee Engagement Survey in March 2021 to provide employees an anonymous avenue to give their open and honest feedback, and this practice will be continued on a yearly basis. Following the completion of the survey, action plans are put in place to address the feedback that has been provided to the company, as a form of commitment to better ourselves.
Group CEO Townhall
Held 3 times a year, our Group CEO Townhall serves as a platform for our Leadership Team to share business updates and company milestones with all employees, as well as recognize and celebrate the deserving winners of our various employee awards. Our employees are also encouraged to submit their questions in advance, which will be addressed by the leaders directly during the Q&A session.


Yeo’s GEM (Going the Extra Mile) Award
Our GEM Award is to recognize and reward employees who have ‘gone the extra mile’ by displaying exemplary dedication in their roles within the company. Winners of the GEM Award are rewarded with a card personally signed by our Group CEO, a special gift as well as attractive gift vouchers. They are also recognized and appreciated during our Group CEO Townhalls and featured on our Yeo’s LinkedIn page.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Learning & Development remains an integral part of the company’s goals to promote and foster an organizational environment that values development, diversity, and growth opportunities for all employees. We regularly encourage our people to learn new skills. During the pandemic, Yeo’s introduced a variety of online learning options.
  • Developmental Modules Training (DMT)
    We run a series of trainings, which include topics such as Essential Habits of Highly Effective Team Players, Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skill, Excellent Business Communication, Microsoft Excel, amongst others, with the aim of increasing workplace efficacy.
  • Self-Help Online Training Modules (SHORE)
    Our SHORE program supports our employees in their self-learning, with curated e-learning content promoted via email monthly.
  • Stress Resilience Workshops
    To ensure the well-being of our people, especially during a pandemic, we collaborated with e2i and Skills Future Advice (Singapore) to roll out a 2-hour Stress Resilience Workshop in both September and October 2021.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

YHS believes it is our responsibility and privilege to serve the communities we operate in and we are committed to distributing part of the economic value we generate back to the communities. As part of our staff engagement initiatives, we actively involve our people through our corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) projects.

COMPENSATION

We revamped our compensation structure and introduced clear performance-linked incentives for all Managers & above.

FORWARD PLANS

Digitalization is the core element in today’s business. In the coming months, Yeo’s will be launching the SAP SuccessFactors HRIS Platform. This will allow us to leverage on technology to improve various People initiatives.

We are committed to making Yeo’s a great place to work in that is in line with its stature of being a Singapore heritage brand. We pledge to continue accelerating efforts in this area.
