Our employees are represented in all major regions of the country, North, Northeast, Central, and South. To ensure our employees in these different regions stay engaged, B. Braun created the Synergy teams to connect employees operating in the same region. Diversity can be perceived in various ways. To ensure our diversity culture resonates with the employees we established a Diversity Club. Through our employee resources group (ERG), the Club openly supports activities that promote the topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion from our employee’s viewpoints and needs. Advocating Gender Equality and AcceptanceThe Club acts as an ally to openly advocate inclusivity and encourage our employees to speak up against prejudice in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. To promote gender equality and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, the Club organizes a variety of activities during Pride month each year. In 2024, the Club encourages employees to share their thoughts during the Pride month and invited an external speaker to share the concepts and theories about behavioral psychology through their personal experience. This engaging and interactive event highlights our ongoing commitment to embracing diversity and cultivating a more inclusive work environment..
Sharing Different Cultures
Our promise of “Sharing Expertise” extends beyond our products and solutions. We believe in fostering an inclusive workplace by celebrating the unique cultures and traditions of our diverse employees. The Club organizes cultural exchange events where foreign employees can share their perspectives. For example, our Indian colleagues introduced Diwali traditions, Indian cuisine, and other cultural practices to their co-workers. Similarly, Korean employees shared their culture through games, food, and personal stories. These events foster empathy, promote inclusivity, and instill a sense of pride among our employees.
Celebrating Religious Beliefs
We respect and celebrate all religions, encouraging our employees to learn and appreciate diverse beliefs. The Club organizes religious events that are inclusive and accommodating of various religious practices. During events like Asalha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day, for example, Club members gathered to make merit by offering alms to monks and lighting candles. Employees of other religions were welcome to participate or simply observe, ensuring that their religious limitations were respected. As a Thailand-based company, we celebrate Thai traditions like Songkran and Buddhist holidays. However, we also recognize and celebrate the special days of employees from other religions, such as Eid Mubarak. This ensures that everyone feels valued and included in our workplace culture.
Global Diversity
To raise awareness of diversity beyond the local perspective, B. Braun advocates and communicates diversity stories of employees across the globe. We’ve created a 4Diversity network, where employees voluntarily connect and share diversity stories from various perspectives. Employees are open to sharing their stories and how our work culture enables the creation of a more inclusive and empathetic workplace.
