In 2023/2024, Dah Chong Hong (DCH) obtained the ISO45001 certification to acknowledge their commitment on providing a safe and healthy workplace to their employees.

DCH carries out different measures and commits to reduce 3% of carbon emission in the coming 2 years, such as implemented the largest solar energy generation project in Hong Kong in their Yuen Long logistics warehouse, which is able to reduce 80,000 trees per year.
To reduce the consumption of plastic tableware, every employee is distributed a set of reusable tableware, and they are encouraged to bring their own utensils.

At their Kowloon Bay office, they do not serve bottled water during the meetings and replaced by the drinking system with hot, cold and sparkling water function, to reduce the plastic consumption.

For recycle part, the recycle bins are placed in every floor in their office to reinforce the recycling concept, reduce the load on landfills and the carbon emissions.

The DCH office has just finished the renovations and provides a new and comfortable workplace for their employees. Their new office is designed with environment friendly concept, well acknowledge by LEED and WELL certification. More than providing a safe and healthy workplace to the employees, it is beneficial to the environment as well.

To promote a healthy lifestyle, DCH encourages the employees to take the stairs instead of the elevator. They have posters at the staircases with the advantages of taking the stairs, for example, burning the calories, getting healthier, losing the weight and so on.

DCH implemented a series of measures to commit sustainability and their efforts were not in vain, they are well recognized. DCH received the external awards and appreciations from different organizations, such as “Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme (GOALS)” by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) and the World Green Organisation (WGO), also the “Joyful @ Healthy Workplace Program” by The Department of Health, Labour Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Council.

Considering the environment and the health and safety of its employees, DCH commits to do better and make significant contributions to sustainability continuously.
