Creating positive environments and inspiring experiences
The values that guide Frasers Property Thailand (“FPT”) - being collaborative, respectful, progressive, and real – serve as guiding principles that shape our behaviours and actions. They drive us to effect transformative changes in what we do, whether it is in delivering exceptional customer experiences, enhancing quality of life, or building a more resilient and future-ready business. Our overarching purpose directs us towards creating and supporting advanced innovations in addition to reinventing ourselves for a more inclusive and sustainable world.
Our employees are invaluable assets and essential drivers of our organisational success and corporate vision. As a result, we prioritise human resource management by encouraging growth opportunities, safeguarding human rights, and boosting the capabilities and productivity of employees through annual training programmes which focus on core competencies, leadership competencies, functional competencies, basic skills, and supplementary skills.
FPT Solutions has long prioritised DEI, and embedded “Respectful and Real” as our two core values. Our commitment to promoting an accepting inclusive workforce is evident in our company policies. We offer flexible work schedules to suit the lifestyles of employees and provide a range of health insurance plans through “ Customised Group Insurance Options ”. Additionally, we recently implemented “ Flexible Leave Options” to accommodate various life events from marriage, maternity, and family responsibility to gender affirmation surgeries.
In 2022, we organised leadership training programmes for employees at various levels, creating a “Common Learning Experience” under the “Reconnect”, “Rethink”, and “Restart” framework. This allowed employees to build stronger relationships, collaboratively review and brainstorm ideas, and collectively implement policies aimed at contributing to FPT’s long-term success.
Moreover, we recognise that engaging with employees through effective internal communications is pivotal to our organisational success. To facilitate this, we maintain a transparent approach in which we openly communicate on our past corporate performance and provide valuable insights into future growth directions for each business unit. In doing so, we empower our dedicated workforce, so they gain a clear understanding of our organisational trajectory, encouraging a sense of ownership and commitment among employees who play a vital role in our shared journey and achieving our strategic goals.
We are further prioritising diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by revamping our leave policy to better suit the wide-ranging needs of employees. This initiative reflects our commitment to respecting and valuing each employee’s individuality. The updated policy offers increased flexibility and options – going beyond the legal requirements in place, catering to various lifestyles. It not only aims to enhance satisfaction within the workplace but sets an important example and benchmark for other companies to embrace DEI.
The new leave policy includes provisions for different life events, such as marriage registration, family-related celebrations, and gender reassignment surgery. As we strive to create a more inclusive work environment, we take pride in providing a workplace where employees are not only encouraged but celebrated for being their authentic selves. This commitment results in a profoundly positive and discriminatory-free atmosphere.
FPT’s commitment to employee well-being is being driven from the very top, with enthusiastic support from the Country CEO, who recognises and values the role of a diverse and inclusive workforce in the company’s business success. The revised and more comprehensive leave and benefits policy is seen as an effective tool to boost employee satisfaction, improve performance, attract top talent, and drive the organisation's sustainability and innovation efforts. By prioritising DEI and respecting individual differences, FPT is not only promoting a positive workplace culture but also advocating for fundamental human rights, setting an important standard in Thailand and throughout the region – ensuring that every employee is equally valued and supported.
