HR initiatives and achievement

With our strong emphasis on delivering our purpose – "For Every Life, For Every Future", Prudential Thailand commits to helping Thai people live healthier and wealthier lives. Therefore, our people strategies reflect our business ambitions to become number one in the hearts and minds of Thai people. We are focusing on delivering a seamless employee experience through the "3P framework" of our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) strategy:


PRU Space

We have interior design that focuses on collaboration and relaxation where it encourages socialization. For example, social setting in common area with board games, football table, air hocket table, phone booth, collaboration zone, private meeting room, health and wellness center etc.

Furthermore, we offer flexible working arrangement such as a hybrid workplace model, monthly WFH allowance, Flexible Friday, and early leave on Songkran Eve. Furthermore, we introduced Wellness Leave calling for employees to take at least five consecutive days of leave without access to work. Moreover, we held our Wellness Day, a day off to recharge once every year. Additionally, we continued to offer birthday leave with gift voucher, marriage leave, sabbatical leave and volunteer leave across all our businesses.

PRU Care

We aim to enhance our employees’ wellbeing in all aspects of physical and mental health while maintaining a strong sense of belonging and connectedness. During the pandemic, we effectively converted the Employee Engagement Program from in-person to online sessions. For instance, we offered virtual fitness programs, telemedicine, socializing events, and, most importantly, flexible work arrangements to help our colleagues and their families cope with the pandemic. Other forms of support include vaccines, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), medical and insurance coverage, wellness leave, online medical consultations, the 24/7 Employee Assistance Program, online concerts, chit-chat sessions with celebrities and colleagues, and art therapy workshops.

Besides our wellbeing initiatives, it is vital to develop our employees as advocate to deliver the customer-centric product proposition. As a result, the Connect-Grow-Succeed framework is the powerful bridge for people transformation. To connect, we promise them a diverse, inclusive, and flexible environment where everyone is encouraged to bring true self to work. To grow, we promise them the time to develop, with support and feedback, and a culture that encourages them to challenge themselves and learn new skills. To succeed, we promise that they will be empowered to fulfill potential in a purpose-led culture.

To put our vision into reality, we have planned to increase overall diversity and inclusion across the organization by building a culture where diversity of thinking, skills, identity, and experience is celebrated, and inclusion is assured for our people, customers and partners. Here below are samples of our D&I initiatives that have been successfully implemented at Prudential Thailand.
  • STRENGTHEN CORE: Group D&I policy has been implemented to ensure diversity in thinking skill sets, and backgrounds that enriches the organisation. We also have The PruWay, our PRU core values, as a guiding principle to interact with one another, especially the value of “respect and care for one another”. Lastly, we diligently oversee D&I index and assess the impact of our initiatives through the annual people survey.
  • ENGAGE: Our total rewards program offers inclusive benefits to help our people feel sense of belongings at the organization. With our principle “no one left behind”, our health insurance covers employee’s spouse and children. LGBTQIA+ employees and partners are also included. We also enhance IPD benefits for single employees whose eligible parents are included in corporate health policy. In terms of Learning and Development Programs, we aim to enhance people capability at all levels including non-permanent workers.
  • EMPOWER: We hosted series of events to support our people to create an inclusive and safe working environment. For example, International Women’s Day, Pink Day (Pride for LGBTQIA+), Valentine’s Day (fundraising event to support the earthquake in Turkey and Syria), cross-cultural workshop and international potluck, Songkran day (Thai New year event where expats can also learn about local culture). Furthermore, we encourage our staff to learn and utilize tools to understand self and others, I-Am-Remarkable workshop to promote self-achievement and respect individual value, E-color -- a theory and methodology to help them understand differences in communication styles and mitigate the misperception of the counterpart.
  • SHARE: Our PLT Employee Clubs are employee-led community where everyone in the organisation can connect to share ideas on various activities. Employees can join the club that suits their passion and personality and discover the benefits of our four pillars of wellbeing: physical, mental, financial, and social.
