HSBC Global Service Centre Philippines is one of the Global Service Centres (GSCs) in HSBC, a network of offshore operations which are positioned across Asia, Europe, North Africa and Latin America.

HSBC GSC Philippines creates value for the HSBC Group globally by harnessing the power of emerging technologies to create excellent and seamless experiences for our customers.

Inaugurated in 2004, our office is located at Quezon City in Manila, with over 5,000 employees delivering customer operations and service to 34 countries around the world.

We have grown from being HSBC’s back office to hubs for innovation, research, development, and business transformation, performing a range of complex and analytical tasks, requiring significant technical skills and expertise.

Creating a Diverse & Inclusive Workplace

At HSBC, one of our core values is “we value difference”. We were founded on the strength of different experiences, attributes and voices; they are integral to who we are and how we work.

Our Diversity & Inclusion Program in HSBC GSC Philippines focuses on raising awareness, promoting acceptance and creating lasting impact across diversity in age, gender, including LGBTQ+, persons with disability and caring responsibilities. We strive to create an inclusive culture by supporting our colleagues through various programs and initiatives which include:
  • Above statutory maternity and paternity benefits
  • Childcare allowance
  • Gender Affirmation Treatment Benefit
  • Same Gender Partner Medical Coverage
  • PWD-Friendly Workplace
  • Lactation Room for nursing moms
  • Gender Neutral Restrooms and Quiet Rooms

Our employee resource group play an important role in driving positive change internally across the Bank. We encourage our employees to voluntarily join and support the employee resource groups that are close to their personal values, and give them the opportunity to make a difference.

We have adopted hybrid working model to support our people’s wellbeing. We learnt a lot during the pandemic, we adopted new technologies and methods of virtual working incredibly quickly and successfully; we’ve seen customer satisfaction scores increase; and many of our people felt just as productive, if not more, at home as in the office.

Hybrid Working is more than just where we work, but also about how we work, how we create a culture that enables us to be at our best and deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers, a culture that promotes flexibility, collaboration, learning and wellbeing in both physical and virtual workplaces. It takes the best of what worked well in 2020 and uses new technology and ways of working to improve our experience and address any challenges.

Our flexible working arrangements and time-off programs give our employees the flexibility to attend to personal priorities, and take time-off from work.

Employees may apply for a Sabbatical Leave ranging from three to six months if they need to take a long leave to pursue activities that they may not be able to do e.g. travelling, undertaking care responsibilities, participating in charity project, etc.

Our employees enjoy work life through engaging events and activities which include:
  • Engagement events and parties
  • Volunteering activities
  • Interest Clubs
  • Sportsfest
  • Kidz@Work
  • Team Buildings

And we support our people’s financial wellbeing by helping them save for their future through ShareMatch and Defined Contribution Scheme.
