We believe shaping a world that is inclusive, sustainable and safe is a responsibility we share. We’re committed to career development and providing an environment for our people that is welcoming to all. And we’re dedicated to our communities, giving back through volunteer service hours.In Hong Kong/Macau, we are proud of the people and community initiatives we have introduced:
- APAC Inclusion Council: foster a work environment that is innovative, equitable, inclusive and diverse; conducted focus groups to understand what Equity, Inclusion & Diversity means to us in Hong Kong/Macau; open call to join the APAC Inclusion Council, inclusion workshops to build awareness on biases.
- Affinity Groups: build ground-up initiatives and teams who have a topic of passion, e.g., Tapestry Gives, PriorityYou Committee, Wellbeing Council, and organizing employee engagement and corporate social responsibility events.
- Volunteer Time-Off: All corporate and retail employees are given 1 paid day a year to volunteer in their local community. This encourages our people to give back to our communities.
- Recognize and celebrate Employee Moments that Matter on our intranet, e.g., onboarding/welcoming new joiner, life events, promotion, anniversary, award winners & Win of the Week stories.
- Creative Hybrid Employee Events throughout Covid period to ensure close ties with our employees – both physical and virtual. Examples of virtual activities include yoga, paper cutting, focus groups, Women’s Month workshops and Wellbeing Month workshops.
- Flexible Fridays all year round (corporate employees): in response to Covid and Zoom work life, we tested and learned by extending half day Fridays all year round. Employees enjoy the flexibility to balance work and life commitments, and Flexible Fridays are now an important part of our culture.
- Whole Life and Wellbeing: we want our employees to love where they work. To create this positive environment, we uphold a culture that strives to improve work-life integration and the wellbeing of our employees and also their families. We understand that the home and work lives of our employees are inextricably linked and to support them, we provide resources and comprehensive benefits.
- Parental Leave for our working parent employees that can be utilized for spending time with their children.
- Home Trip Support to our Asia non-local/expatriate employees for their overseas home visit in home country for family reunion during Covid.

- Retail Leadership Academy to groom top retail talent and successors with focus on discovering personal leadership styles, and how best to coach and influence.
- In-store Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Program: Identify and evolve sales associates to become Omni-channel brand hosts, customer experts, creators of experiences and relationship/community builders.
- Craftsman Apprentice Program (Coach) : forging strong career paths for talented individuals through our leathercraft legacy.

- At Tapestry, we believe that learning starts on the first day and continues throughout our employees’ careers within the company. We strive to provide a working environment where our people can grow and progress. We focus on career progression, development and mobility, and in FY2021, we filled 80% of our leadership roles internally. We also set a goal to fill 60% of our leadership roles internally by 2025.
- With monthly email circular to all Asia employees on internal opportunities, so to encourage cross function/country movement and development as well as encourage referrals within the organization.
- Transparent Internal Careers Center to encourage our people to apply for and be considered for roles in different parts of the organization. We encourage our people to master their own career development!
