Creating an 'Unbossed' Environment in Novartis
To support this aspiration, our goal is to attract, develop and promote highly talented people who embodies the new culture, and to build a diverse and inclusive workforce with vast array of skills, experiences, and backgrounds.Diversity and inclusion: We treat our associates fairly, equally, and respectfully. For example, we provide our associates with 98-days paid parental leave for both parents. This includes the support for marriage, newborn baby, and baby delivery assistance. In addition, we also extend the Religious Observance Leave for 15 days for everyone regardless of their religion.
Transformation of Flexibility: We implemented ‘Choice with Responsibility’ policy which allows the associates to take full responsibility and accountability with their role and have more choice about how, when and where they work, as well as the responsibility to keep managers informed and align with teammates and stakeholders to ensure high-impact collaboration.
Well-being programs: We offer Energized for Life initiatives, including programs to improve employees’ health and well-being from physical to mental wellness. For example, we provide mental health support program to employees and their family members, an “Energized for Life Benefits” to support the expenses on associates’ health and wellness including their family members and life partners regardless of gender.
Reimagined Performance Management: Constructive dialogue between the associate and supervisor is an essential part of the Novartis Performance Management Process which considers both achievement on objectives and the Novartis Values and Behaviors.
Equal access to learning & Development: We create opportunities for our associates to take ownership of their growth by democratizing learning and development across all areas of Novartis. To do so, we are using the power of Artificial Intelligence to personalize career and learning opportunities and allow our associates to actively drive their development.
Putting Patient First
For over 50 years, Novartis, Thailand has committed to be a trusted partner with Thai healthcare and society. We work alongside stakeholders, including HCPs and the patient community, to address unmet medical needs. We passionately support patient empowerment, helping them to acquire sufficient knowledge so that they can advocate and share their voice to gain access to innovative treatments. To ensure no disruption in patient engagement during the outbreak of COVID-19, we adopted digital technologies to engage with patients, caregivers, and HCPs. We have organized disease awareness webinars and digital educational platforms for range of diseases such as Metastasis Breast Cancer and Blood cancer diseases such as Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) to enable patients to gain insight into diseases, thus ensuring that patients can fully participate in dialogue and share their needs.
