Olam Vietnam is a member of Olam International. Established in 1989, Olam International is today a leading global agri-business operating from seed to shelf, supplying food and industrial raw materials to over 22,000 customers worldwide. Olam commenced operations in Vietnam in 1997, setting up its representative office. Since then, we have established an extensive presence across different parts of Vietnam, including our head office in Ho Chi Minh City and regional offices in the Binh Dinh, Long An, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Dak Lak, Phu Yen, Lam Dong, Yen Bai and Gia Lai provinces.
Today, Olam Vietnam is the largest exporter of Cashews, Pepper and Instant Coffee in Vietnam, investing in the state-of-the-art instant coffee facility and running nine large factories with 7,500 employees across Central and South Vietnam. Our operations have interface with a farmer network of 2 million farmers. We are also the amongst the largest exporter of Green Coffee and a large buyer of Vietnamese rice.
We have established sustainability programmers for black pepper, coffee and cashew. We are excited about our future prospects in Vietnam as the country has huge potential in agriculture.
At Olam Vietnam, our new joiners are provided the best in class onboarding experience and support towards settling down in their new roles. The employee onboarding program provides a structured assimilation platform to the new joiner from a pre-joining stage to the initial one month in the organization.
To further imbibe the Olam Values & DNA, Olam Value Workshops are conducted at a regular interval in all business units and locations in Vietnam. The management team ensures that all employees further undergo a refresher session once in 3 years.
The Employee Gathering or Outing Program aims to strengthen teamwork and communication among employees. Other engagement programs include annual sports tournaments and maintaining and creative events for the employee's children.

INTEGRATED TALENT MANAGEMENT
The company has successfully integrated the key talent management processes Performance Management and Development. The Individual Development Plans for all managers are reviewed twice a year as part of the Performance Review Discussions. Domain skills training programs are conducted across locations.FOCUS ON WORKPLACE SAFETY
All work locations have a dedicated team member responsible for Workplace Safety. Basic Safety Training is given to all employees to educate them on occupational safety and health at the workplace.IDENTIFICATION AND GROOMING OF POTENTIAL NATIONAL MANAGERS
There is a sharp focus on grooming the national managers for the senior management roles. In addition to the classroom and online trainings, the identified managers are provided critical experiences to hone their skill sets towards their readiness to play higher roles.CREATING A HIGHLY-ENGAGED WORKFORCE
The Employee Engagement Survey is conducted by AON (Global Market Research MNC). The survey includes work satisfaction, quality of work life, total compensation, learning & development, career growth, performance management, integration & cross cultural sensitivity, supervisor-subordinate relationship, communication, care & concern, and other aspects. CAMPUS ENGAGEMENT AND EMPLOYER BRANDING PROGRAM
Employee Engagement programs include a Campus Engagement with various universities in Vietnam. This program includes inviting guest lecturers from Engineering programs in Vietnam, case study events, site visits for university students to learn more about Olam Vietnam and the Internship Program.Recognizing Excellence Olam also gives out two types of awards for employees. They are the Country Level Awards and Business Unit/Product Level Awards. Country Level Awards include Excellence in Execution Award, Innovation Award, Olam Values Award, Safety Award and Country Head Award
The Business Unit/Product Level Awards include Employee of The Month and the Long Service Award which given to those employees who have worked for 10, 15, and 20 years in company.
NUTURING WORKING ENVIRONMENT
60% of our workforce in Vietnam is women. We have rolled out processes and policies to nurture the women workforce including- Child care support at kindergartens for children up to age of 6 years for female employees
- During pregnancy or having fostering child under 12 months: No night shift or work overtime
- Dietary support during the pregnancy period
- Female employee can get back to work after taking leave of 04 months continue to receive maternity allowance
