In 1992, B. Braun Group started its operation in Vietnam by opening a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City and another one in Hanoi in 1993. By now, B. Braun Vietnam (BBVN) is the largest medical manufacturer in Vietnam with more than 1,500 employees and over 200 sales and marketing representatives serving healthcare professionals and patients across Vietnam.

Since our people are at the center of everything we do, creating the pipeline for future is one of the very critical parts, not only of HR’s but also of all departments’ accountability. Looking at the number of fresh hired over the last 6 years, BBVN has a new generation of Sales and Marketing Management, Production and Technology Transfer, Financial Controlling, Supply Chain Management, Human resources of nearly 100 young staffs and supervisors. Pipeline for senior positions is also well prepared with the ambition to localize management team. Today, 67% of the company Board of Management is Vietnamese and female joins an equal part in the company management team. With the culture of innovation, the company encourages every member, regardless of their job level or position, to initiate and share ideas for improvement days after days.

As a company of healthcare industry, BBVN pays great attention to employee health and well-being. The workplace is well taken care with a green campus where employees can relax during break time. Annually, there is a sports and engagement event for all B. Brauners’ families to come and enjoy the activities in the campus. This is how the company would like to leverage the pride of employees and show appreciation for the families who support each employee to work with us every day. Additionally, as women contribute 70% of our workforce, programs to take care of woman’s health and well-beings are introduced such as Health Talks, Well-being program and Family Care, etc... With our commitment to development and sustainability, B. Braun Vietnam employees are encouraged to join all CSR programs with the core theme of “CONNECTED” – with partners and with community. We consider our customers our partners and employees are invited to customer/ partner frequent visits to hospitals, clinics to see how they operate, how doctors/ nurses as well as patients are using our products and services to find out the best way to serve them. Through those visits, colleagues from cross functions share the same goals of serving partners, working in silos is avoided, and above all, we understand the meaning of the job we do every day as improving people’s lives.

At B. Braun Vietnam, we believe that sustainable business has also included responsibility of community in region. The commitment of company as a corporate citizen is to promote the exchange of knowledge, solve issues of social importance, protect the environment, and create development opportunities especially for children and teenagers. For the past 15 years, the company has sponsored an orphanage in local commune to grow up the children there, employees with background as doctors and pharmacists are encouraged to join free health check programs for the kids there. Such activities are highly valued by the local communities and our employees themselves.
