TDCX is a provider of customer experience outsourcing services with headquarters in Singapore. TDCX Thailand was established in 2005 and currently operates from two campuses in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It boasts a dedicated team of more than 2,500 employees, priding itself on welcoming more than 10 nationalities, with expatriates making up nearly 40 per cent of its workforce to cater to its global clients that require multilingual employees.
Employee well-being is a priority for TDCX Thailand. The company strives to build a positive workplace culture by reimagining what a workplace could be for employees. It not only offers cozy workspaces with functional and productive spaces, but also conducts bi-weekly employee sentiment surveys to hear from employees and promptly address their feedback. Using this feedback-driven approach, TDCX Thailand tailors its initiatives based on survey results, increasing activities that are well-received while introducing new activities such as evening workout sessions based on the suggestions.
The result 77 per cent of employees at TDCX Thailand believe that the company offers sufficient support to meet their needs.
Beyond the scope of providing an enjoyable work environment, TDCX also provides learning and development (L&D) opportunities to support its employees’ personal development and professional advancement. It provides career coaching and mentoring opportunities for employees at every level of the company, and in-house training modules and specialized training for selected employees.
One of the ways TDCX Thailand achieves a win-win situation for both employees and the company is by fostering employee engagement and contributing to the community through active participation in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Employees identify a cause that requires support, get buy-in from the broader team and are then provided with resources to organise activities that are aimed at uplifting local communities and promoting environmental sustainability. The approach has also led to a 78 per cent increase in employees feeling assured of equal opportunities for success at work, irrespective of their cultural or background differences. Additionally, 81 per cent of employees feel that they have adequate opportunities to acquaint themselves with their coworkers and establish meaningful friendships.
The bottom line is – companies that take care of their people, take care of their company. When employees feel fully engaged, motivated, and eager to contribute, it’s an indication that the company is on the right path to building a strong organizational culture.
