In 2023, OMG Singapore adopted the strategy of ‘Fit for Growth’, focusing on differentiating capabilities, aligning cost structure, and recognising areas for growth to enable change and cultural evolution. This was a success as our engagement score rose to 69, the highest in five years. A crucial building block in this strategy is OMG Thrive, comprising three primary categories of the employee value proposition continuum – foundational, experiential, and emotional.
Digitalisation is one of the important foundations at OMG and one of the tools used is Cerrapoints. The mobile app offers employees a broader range of rewards including the redemption of e-Vouchers and celebrating milestones, on top of existing benefits such as annual leave and long service awards. Also, the migration of employees’ data to SAP SuccessFactors connects OMG to future global HR systems and allows for the seamless flow of information.
Our employees play an important role in our growth and innovation, and we are grooming future leaders through OMG Ignite and OMG Accelerate. These programmes help our talent develop management capabilities required to lead the agency of the future. We are also cultivating budding high potential young talent with OMG Fuel. These initiatives are strongly welcomed by employees, who find it beneficial to their growth trajectory as they seek to develop as leaders.
OMG Singapore walks the talk in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by celebrating International Women’s Day, Pride Month, and cultural holidays. We also hope to inspire employees and stimulate their minds through The Inspired Mindset, a series of online fireside chats with speakers from outside the industry who have interesting experiences to share.
The advertising industry is fast paced and can be stressful. Mental health is a priority for us, and we have created a supportive environment for employees through initiatives including the Intellect app. It offers employees personalised mental wellbeing support during their own time, and Singapore has clocked more than 1,200 app sessions, the highest among our offices in Asia Pacific. The top sessions cover relax and destress, self-reflect, and emotion regulation. OMG also pushes for mental wellbeing at an organisational level through a series of activities scheduled throughout the month of October in celebration of World Mental Health Day and a mental wellness day off.
