Awards and Recognition:
At CDL, we recognise that our people are our most valuable asset, and their well-being is not just a priority but a fundamental commitment. Each year, we strive to enhance our well-being initiatives to ensure that every employee feels supported and can thrive both personally and professionally.

We introduced an exciting new initiative to promote workplace wellness and cross-department engagement. Partnering with Grobrix, a local company that aims to promote sustainability, self-sufficiency and food security, an edible soilless vegetable wall was installed in our office. Every fortnight, employees gather to bond and connect while cultivating a variety of greens, including romaine lettuce, butterhead lettuce, red frills mustard, red oak lettuce and more. Some of them even pluck these fresh greens to complement their lunches, creating a vibrant and healthy workplace environment. Beyond the physical benefits of having fresh produce available, our edible wall has sparked conversations, strengthened friendships, and even inspired healthy eating habits. As we look ahead, we are excited to see how this initiative continues to flourish, both in terms of the vegetables it produces and the sense of community it fosters. It’s a reminder that small, innovative steps can have a big impact on the well-being and cohesion of our team.

As part of our unwavering commitment to the well-being of our employees, we launched a new mental wellness program, MindFi on International Happiness Day this year. Mindfi is a holistic app-based program offering a plethora of online resources and tools, enriching the mental well-being of our invaluable employees. These include engaging video and audio-guided exercises, insightful psychometric and well-being assessment tools. Our staff also enjoys seamless access to a distinguished network of mental health professionals, providing expert guidance and steadfast support. With Mindfi, our employees are empowered to proactively manage and nurture their mental well-being, thereby fostering a workplace culture that places the utmost importance on mental health and personal happiness. One of our staff recently raved about the Mindfi app, “The app’s mindfulness exercises have brought me a newfound sense of peace and focus. It has become my trusted companion for managing stress and enhancing my overall mental clarity.”

In one of Human Resources’ remarkable collaborations with the Environmental, Health and Safety team, a corporate event 'Move Together & Feel Better' took center stage. This event had a dual focus, aiming to promote healthy lifestyles and prioritize mental health care, and it succeeded in bringing together a significant number of staff members. A highlight of the event was the invigorating 'desk-ercise' yoga session, a special moment led by our distinguished Guest of Honour, Ms. LiLian Tan, our Group Chief Human Resources Officer and an Exco member. Throughout the event, our incredible team unwound and united, recognizing the profound impact of physical health and holistic well-being.

Looking ahead, we are dedicated to taking our well-being and wellness initiatives to new heights. This includes expanding and refining our existing programs to address the evolving needs of our people.
