In Indonesia, Cargill embarked on its business journey in 1974 by establishing a feed mill in Bogor, West Java. Today, our headquarters are located in Jakarta, and we proudly employ over 19,000 individuals. Our extensive presence encompasses 60 locations, including offices, manufacturing plants, mills, estates, and various facilities across the nation. Our diverse business activities encompass animal nutrition, processed chicken products, cocoa, copra, palm oil, refined palm oil, and sweeteners.

In Indonesia, Cargill has introduced transformative programs aimed at enhancing the country's food security, nutrition, and healthcare.
- CARE International – PROSPER Program. One of our key initiatives focuses on the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) approach, targeting schools in Serang, Makassar, and Bone Districts. As of 2020, we have reached 30 schools, with an additional 59 schools benefiting from a local government replication of our efforts.
- Cargill Indonesia Covid-19 Relief Efforts: Furthermore, we have extended our support to local health facilities, including hospitals and health centers, to bolster their capacity for Covid-19 treatment. Our contributions include ambulance units, vital sign monitoring devices, oxygen storage, and oxygen tubes. This commitment builds upon our previous efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic, where we distributed over 382,000 meal portions to more than 26,000 individuals, addressing critical nutrition needs within our communities.

- Cargill is collaborating with Lestari Capital to implement Sustainable Commodities Conservation Mechanism (SCCM), which finances conservation projects in Nanga Lauk, West Kalimantan over a 25-year period
- Coral Reefs Transplantation: An environmental program, which is run by Cargill Coconut Crushing Plant in Amurang.
- Forest Restoration Program: We work with Cempaka Foundation in East Java to restore forest and water springs in Mount Arjuna, Pasuruan.
