We maintain effective communications with our employees through different platforms in the principle of openness, transparency and equality.

Our staff receive timely updates on corporate developments through a host of online and offline channels such as our quarterly newsletter Connections, corporate announcements, intranet, and our WeShare portal on WeChat. In 2021, we conducted our first-ever Employee Engagement Survey to better understand the needs and aspirations of our people. Some of the practical suggestions collected have been adopted quickly. We have conducted the third Employee Engagement Survey in August 2023.

Across the breadth of our operations, our people are encouraged to share ideas and suggestions with the management team at our regular “Staff Communication Meeting”.


PROMOTING WORK-LIFE BALANCE AMONG STAFF

The wellbeing of our staff is important to us and we are committed to fostering their achievement of work-life balance. We organize regular activities such as Cheer Up Bar, Women’s Day Activities, Staff Appreciation Day, Fun Games, Hang Lung Stepathon Challenge, Themed Food Festival, Bimonthly Birthday Party, Yearly Staff Party, Yearly Staff Team Building and other activities to enable our staff to strike a balance between “work” and “life”.

We are committed to fostering our employees’ wellbeing through a range of measures and initiatives such as maternity allowances, birthday delights, medical insurance, and dedicated breastfeeding facilities.

To commemorate the important milestone of the 60th anniversary of the Hang Lung Group in 2020, an additional paid leave in honor of “Founder’s Day “ has been added to all employees’ leave entitlement since 2020

From March 2020, flexible working arrangements were formalized. Office workers can apply to start their workday up to an hour early or late, or work from home with the approval of their immediate supervisor. We have also introduced “Dress-down Fridays” to allow more flexible workplace wear for staff.

HOLISTIC TALENT TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

As a caring employer committed to nurturing our talent, we prioritize learning and development. We have leveraged the online and offline training resources to provide tailor-made training programs to staff, including Emerald Service Knowledge Program to equip frontline staff with right knowledge to deliver service excellence on the defined standards, the Personal Effectiveness Series courses for mid-level management employees, such as effective communications, embracing growth mindset, influencing skills, time management, creative problem solving, storytelling in business presentations, negotiation skills to strengthen their comprehensive skills in the workplace. A core talent development scheme is also available to staff at intermediate level or above to enhance their management and leadership abilities.

CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIETY

We strive to give back to society through charitable community activities. Hang Lung As One Volunteer Team is committed to create a diverse and inclusive community by promoting youth development and education, elderly services and environmental protection. Tianjin Hang Lung As One Volunteer Team has accumulated over 9,331 hours of service since 2014.

Tianjin Hang Lung As One Volunteer Team visited Boai School on Children’s Day to co-organize the Campus Arts and Culture Festival "Love Without Hindrance, Walk Together". The volunteer team offered a dance to express their holiday wishes to the children, while the cartoon frog played by the volunteers gave the students lovely gifts. After the art festival, volunteers participated in the bazaar, and the handicraft products made by the students were well-made and lifelike, which was deeply loved by everyone. Walk with you, protect with love, and move forward bravely.

Meanwhile, on the Hang Lung Nationwide Volunteer Day in September this year, the Tianjin Hang Lung As One Volunteer Team joined hands with the Heping District Women's Federation to carry out a series of caring activities. Such as the five languages of love - focusing on parent-child relationship salon activities; Walk with her and give her strength - with women and children from the Heping District community on a Haihe River cruise to Tianjin's Mother River and feel the beautiful scenery of the hometown.

我们透过开放、透明、平等的沟通平台,确保与员工保持有效沟通。我们利用线上线下不同的媒介,如季刊《连系恒隆》、内联网、企业公告及WeShare微信平台等,发布公司动态,让员工及时一了解公司资讯。2021年,我们推出首个由第三方进行的员工敬业度调查,从而更了解员工的需求和抱负,当中一些可行的建议已迅速得到落实。第三次员工敬业度调查已于2023年8月进行。

“恒隆一心”义工队于6月1日到访博爱学校,协助学校共同举办了校园文化艺术节-“有爱无碍,携手同行”。义工队奉上舞蹈节,表达对孩子们的节日祝福,同时,由义工扮演的卡通咕呱蛙为学生们送上可爱的六一礼物。艺术节后,义工们又共同参与义卖。一件件由学生们亲手制作的工艺制品做工精良,栩栩如生,深得大家的喜爱。与你同行,用爱守护,勇敢向前。

同时今年九月,在恒隆全国性周年义工日,天津恒隆一心义工队携手和平区妇女联合会,共同开展了一系列的关爱活动。如:爱的五种语言-关注亲子关系沙龙活动;与她同行,予她力量-与和平区社区女性及儿童同坐海河游船共游天津的母亲河,感受家乡的美好风光。
