2023 has been full of new opportunities and we are encouraged by the surprising progress our team has made. Across China, our team continued to demonstrate leadership in key markets by facilitating major transactions. We are accelerating our success through our client outreach and corporate culture, and we continue to attract market leaders to our team.

1) Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) are fundamental to our enterprising future. We invest in our people to accelerate their career success, by recruiting experts from diverse backgrounds and providing equal opportunities for professional development. We create pipeline and development plans for our female talent. Currently nearly 50% of manager above workforce are female and more than 60% of our annual promotions are women.

Colliers has been actively engaged in supporting physically challenged people for many years, with a cumulative investment of over one million RMB. We have provided employment opportunities to dozens of physically challenged individuals, and our continuous efforts in this area have been recognized with the Plaque from the China Foundation for Disabled Persons (CFDP).

2) Most Caring Company
Employee satisfaction is a top priority for us. We actively listen to our employees and act on their feedback. In our annual 2023 Engagement Survey, China achieved the highest engagement score across APAC region. Staff turnover rate has decreased significantly from the same period. The areas where we exceed at external benchmarks are Barriers to Execution, Action Taking and Continuous Improvement.

We are committed to enhancing the well-being of our people. We recognize employees and teams throughout China for their outstanding achievement in our annual award celebration. We share Major Appointments & Transaction Wins in all Service Lines to China all staff in townhall meeting quarterly to boost employee confidence.

3) Innovate with Technology
We remain committed to prioritizing digital innovation and have successfully launched the Colliers Technology platform. This end-to-end digital platform and operations system will allow us to explore new products and functions based on our clients’ needs, support our enterprise governance business based on digital solutions, and develop technology-based business opportunities on a nationwide scale.

We continue to invest in technology solutions and activate our technology resources across China, which encompasses the protection of digital assets and network security, as well as the comprehensive maintenance of technology foundations including hardware, software, systems, and networks. These initiatives have expedited our digital transformation and allowed us to provide more advanced technological solutions to our employees and clients.

4) Expert Choose Expert
At Colliers, we create an effective Employee Value Proposition (EVP) by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Our industry leaders regularly share business insights and career development paths, as well as provide the best solutions for our clients. To support our employees' professional growth, we provide two types of online learning platforms, both international and local. These platforms provide targeted training courses and programs to expand our employees’ skills and knowledge. Additionally, we consistently appoint professionals, nurture high performers, and promote individuals with high potential every year. We also encourage collaboration among experts to drive innovation and leadership within the industry. Drawing on our extensive experience in multi-industry management and our global resource platform, we empower our clients to maximize their property potential.

At Colliers, we continue to earn the trust of our clients by providing them with expert advice and exceptional service everywhere they do business. We focus on our Key Client Programme to invest in long-term client relationships and strengthen our Chinese client strategies. This year, we have expanded our presence by opening a new branch in Shaoxing and extended our operations to Jinan and Nantong. Our Nanjing, Suzhou and Hangzhou branches have operated independently, allowing for a more localized approach to business operations and service. Furthermore, we continue to strengthen our business and cooperation in key markets including Great Bay area and Bohai Economic Circle.

5) Environmental, Social and Governance
We prioritize employee mental health by implementing an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) program, providing support and resources to help employees navigate personal challenges. The program has been widely acclaimed, with over 20% of employees seeking advice and assistance since its introduction. In addition, we have a diverse range of team building activities and upgraded our employees' commercial medical insurance scheme to better care for their physical and mental health.

Our company is strongly committed to social welfare and fulfilling our corporate social responsibility. In 2023, we introduced the "Colliers Gives" volunteer program, calling on our employees to dedicate at least one day each year to volunteer service, making a positive impact on society and local community. In the first half of 2023, all Colliers offices in China have successfully organized close to 30 diverse public service initiatives, attracting over 1,000 participants and totaling more than 8,000 hours of volunteer work. This achievement surpasses our initial target by nearly 150 percent.

We maintain our focus on employee activities and welfare. We celebrate important milestones such as employee on-boarding and birthdays. We recognize long-term commitment and loyalty by granting additional annual leaves and Long Service Rewards to employees who have been with Colliers for more than five years. We extended maternity leave and introduced parental leave and volunteering leave throughout China to further improve the well-being of our employees.

Relying on our combined efforts, Colliers China has received the Five-Star Award for “Best Property Consultancy Marketing China” and earned the titles of “Outstanding Property Consultancy”, “Outstanding Real Estate Agency Group”. The RICS annual awards hold a prestigious status within the property and construction industry with an international history of over 20 years.
