1. Employee Engagement and Recognition
Employee engagement is an important driver of strong employer branding. Thus, to unite employees' cohesion, we have organized diverse activities such as football, team buildings, marathons, etc. The primary purpose of this is to allow our employees to engage in extensive activities outside of working hours. Aside from that, we have established MVP and Competency Star winners to honor and reward our best-performing employees. These programs encourage exceptional work, provide gifts, and foster a spirit of competition. To guarantee a transparent and equitable selection process, the management team fairly reviews the evaluation using concrete metrics. Additionally, we have undertaken periodic pulse surveys following events and an annual survey, which includes both electronic and verbal interviews with unexpectedly high scores, to ensure we're on the correct path and respond promptly to input. Indeed, the survey result shows positive comments about our company, which distinctly indicates that most employees speak positively, recommend us to others as a good place to work, and notably receive high scores on engagement-related survey questions. In fact, 100% of employees would recommend Chailease Royal Leasing Plc. to their friends or relatives, and so far, 34% of current employees have been hired through an employee referral program.2. Learning and Development
InternshipChailease Royal Leasing Plc is more than just a company providing a financial service; we also serve as outdoor consultants for young colleague students who are seeking professional work experience on-the-job training in relevant field training courses through e-learning and experience sharing from local employees and the opportunity to become a permanent employee. Our internship program places equal emphasis on theory and practical application, with strong support from senior employees that serve as their personal mentors. The entire program is divided into three main stages: an evaluation after 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year to ensure that our interns have enough time to adapt to company culture and develop their professional skills. After completing each stage, they will receive additional benefits and other allowances. Apart from that, in 2023, we successfully hosted 5 career fairs and held workshops where our outstanding employees shared experiences with students in many different universities in Phnom Penh. We have also saved thousands of contacts in the pool of talent for future opportunities. Presently, we have hired 166 interns since 2017, and the average intern-to-permanent employee conversion rate is 76%. Remarkably, 20% of permanent employees are promoted from interns.
Management Training
The four fundamental values of leadership are respect, integrity, authenticity, and transparency. Our management has demonstrated a high degree of these qualities to collaborate together effectively by promoting teamwork, motivating staff, earning their trust, and guiding the whole team with a clear goal and sense of direction. Every single piece of feedback is appreciated and taken into account. In the workplace, we promote transparency and responsibility, which the management team leads by example. Above that, management courses are offered to managers and entry-level supervisors every year for a platform to discuss, reflect on their past actions, and add up on their limitations from external quality professors and material purchasing abroad in order to ingrain these fundamental leadership values profoundly. The training was actively involved by all management teams, ranging from supervisors to deputy relationship managers. The entire training covers all areas of life, both internal and external factors, which the main lessons have after all-You’re the supervisor, managing me, accountability that works, leading with integrity, moment of truth, and practical coach. The average satisfaction is 8.2 out of 10.
Learning evaluation handbook and regional development model
Human resources play an essential role in contributing to the company’s success. Recognizing how significant it is to address this, we have created a framework for advancing human resources, primarily creating a road map for promotion and learning opportunities for all employees. Initially, we provide learning evaluation handbooks with a variety of e-learning courses and personal mentors to help our newcomers adjust to the workflow and ultimately produce a satisfactory result. There are a total of 222 hours of on-the-job training, and the percentage of pass probation is up to 91%. Besides that, we also have a regional development model that engages all employees, both indoors and outdoors, in continuously enhancing their knowledge and skills. The primary goals of the regional development model are to cultivate a pool of internally talented lecturers, foster professional skill and idea sharing, and continuously expand the range of courses offered, including legal and soft skills courses. In 2022, we provided a total of 109 courses with a visible high rate of satisfaction, roughly 3.95% out of 5.
3. ESG & DEI
Corporate Social ResponsibilitySocial responsibility is of key importance to Chailease Royal. We realize that our responsibility for environmental protection and social responsibility is an ideal of sustainability in our core business strategy and daily operations. As part of it, we have taken a serious approach to supporting society in different ways. In June 2023, we joined the “11th Phnom Penh International Half Marathon” that was hosted by the Ministry of Tourism to raise employees' health awareness while simultaneously collecting funds for Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital. Other than that, during the annual trip this year, we lead our employees to plant mangrove trees along the seaside and mountains, mainly at Trapeang Sangkae and Bokor Mountain in Kampot Province, to save the earth, which aims to reduce climate change and advance sustainable tree management.
Friendly, Healthy and Hygiene environment
Chailease Royal Leasing Plc. has placed our employees’ well-being on top of everything. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture that is friendly, healthy, and hygienic. We encourage all employees to communicate directly with the management team to promote integrity and trust. Furthermore, the employee suggestion box is placed in a reachable location to voice their concern anonymously. We've got contemporary facilities, including a nursing room, pantry, and mobile office, following the special spraying and office cleansing every month. To ensure employee safety, masks and sanitizer were given to all employees’ equity every month. As of now, we have provided a total of 53,500 units and 1620 sanitizers. Despite being in a developing country, Chailease Royal Leasing Plc. embraces an ESG/DEI corporate culture that is in line with international standards to encourage employee retention, empower employees to reach their full potential, and learn more about social difference, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Indeed, we promote an employee based on their performance without taking the gender of the candidate into consideration. We’re striving to balance our lives and our environment, and we’re heading toward digitalization by deploying innovative systems for our practice to be faster and more convenient; for instance, our HR Digital Optimization combats using paperwork.
