Established in 1995, SAP Thailand began to help organizations in Thailand run better. Thailand is the main location/office of the SAP Indochina business group which also manages SAP’s business in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal.

Pledge to FlexWith a focus on employee-centeredness, SAP Thailand advocates for a flexible and inclusive work environment and grounds the model on a trust-based workplace. We create an inclusive environment in which people can work from home, at the office, or remotely, and it is possible for them to set flexible schedules. Our " Pledge to Flex " policy offers our people to work remotely as well as regularly at the office. This is the hybrid setup that most employees prefer. While it is not a 100% home-office model, Pledge to Flex will help teams align working schedules that enables them to meet both their professional and personal commitments.
Innovative Health and Well-being OfferingWe design our total rewards to attract and motivate exceptional talent, drive employee development and performance to achieve business goals, and to reinforce the business strategies, culture and behaviors valued by the company. SAP heavily invested in supporting health and well-being for our employees from all aspects including financial health, physical health and emotional health wellbeing.
To compliment SAP pledge to flex, we have also rolled out Flexible Spending Account (FSA) in every country across South east Asia this year. Every employee receives FSA account which they can reimburse against items that fall under health and wellness, personal development, D&I and Lifestyle. Some of the popular claims include vacation expenses, fitness subscription and recreation course for themselves or their kids.
Our Flexible Health Fund has been adjusted to cover medical related expenses on top of our comprehensive Group Insurance Coverage, e.g. purchase of over-the-counter medicines/vitamins and some of COVID-19 related items (Oxygen Concentrator, Oximeter, etc.)
Fit@SAP is a program to keep track of daily steps and try to increase employees’ activity level in a fun and engaging way. Employee Assistance Program , our free phone confidential counselling service, is available to employees and family. Digital Medical Second Option Service offers our employee and family support where they can seek 2nd opinion on their diagnosis and treatment plan from a world leading expert through online platform.
Employee EngagementWe realize nothing beats being together physically and it improves collaboration and bonding. While we promote Pledge to Work, we continue to keep our employee engagement in hybrid setting allowing our team to be able to participate both on-site or online according to their preference. Our employee engagement activities focus on promoting team collaboration, diversity & inclusion, and work-life balance and always center around creating impact to our community. We volunteered as a group with our Waterway Cleaning initiative. Our Special Interest clubs take turn to host fun and off-work activity with the team, e.g. employees can exchange on their favorite OPPA in Korean Drama Club; Capture Crew Club hosted Photography for Cause as part of our SAP Pride Celebration where contribute made local differently abled charity organization; Green Thumb Club offered their home grown plant for charity auction.
Virtual Learning and Development ProgramSAP offers a robust portfolio of Learning and Development offerings to help everyone accelerate their career. For everyone to have unified employee experience, all learning resource and information are housed under our Learning SharePoint where everyone can search through learning catalogue per their developmental needs.
Online learning has become an integral part of business, whether it is related to up-skilling, cross-skilling, or specific company Business Law to ensure legal compliance. We ensure to provide learning on demand where learners can access anytime and anywhere.
For personal development, SAP embraced a unique performance management philosophy without ratings. We call it our very own “ SAP Talk ” founded based on continuous dialogue. This performance philosophy introduces a real-time way of developing employees by ensuring managers and employees talk more regularly. It combines ongoing discussions and integrates the voice of the employee through an Upward Feedback. This helps promote leadership trust and high performance culture through supporting individual development and career aspiration.
To encourage learning culture, we introduced ‘ My Learning Time’ Leave where employees can apply time off to dedicate and focus on their learning needs.

Listen – Understand – ActWe continue our commitment of improving everyone’s experiences and cultivating corporate culture with #Unfiltered People Survey to effectively listening to our employees and respecting their feedback and ideas. Our #Unfiltered People Survey is centered on continuously listening to our employees, understanding their input, and taking action together. Annual Comprehensive Survey along with Pulse Survey during the year help us keep track if we are taking the right action to address the feedback as we hear not just listen.
