True passion is essential to making great shoes. From drawing the first sketches to presenting our finished shoes in ECCO stores around the world, we apply the utmost attention to detail and quality.
ECCO is one of the worlds leading brands of high-quality footwear established in 1963. The company is a Danish family business with operations throughout the world whereas ECCO (Thailand) Co., Ltd was established in Thailand in 1993, and today has 3,200 employees with an annual turnover of 3.4 billion baht.
Unique to our industry, ECCO makes leather at our own tanneries and produces shoes at our own factories with various automation processes. Our global family of employees, representing over 70 nationalities, is the life force behind our products. Design, development, production, and retail – we take responsibility all the way.
ECCO Thailand was established in 1993 as a joint venture with Bangkok Rubber. In 1994 production started with 1,257 employees, two stitching halls, and one injection machine. Operations were doubled in 1998 and expanded with an administration building, including a product development- and training centre. In 2003 it was decided to establish a distribution centre and one more injection machine was added. After a big impact of flooding in Thailand in 2011, production was re-started in 2012 and the factory was fully renovated in 2013. Today, the factory has two stitching halls with fifteen stitching lines and four injection machines.
