Business BackgroundTCC has over 14,700 employees across North America, Europe and Asia in 12 different industries. Based on the cement industry, we consider ourselves as “Earth Helpers” that copes with the complex relationship between civilization and nature. We continuously develop our business in the field of carbon reduction, circular economy and the energy industry. To implement the United Nations SDGs sustainability targets, we have announced to reduce carbon emission by 11% in 2025(in comparison with 2016). To reach this goal, we continuously develop cutting-edge technologies in the green energy industry and completed the acquisition of 60.48% of the issued share capital of NHOA, the world's 4th largest energy storage system company. With their technology, we are the only company in Taiwan with the ability to integrate green energy, storage, battery and EV station. To continue to deploy our big battery business, we have also established Molie Quantum Energy Corp. on the base of our sub-company E-One Moli Energy Corp., aiming to have an annual output of 1.8GW production capacity of nickel batteries in 2023.
Polices and welfare1. Pandemic care
Last year, we’ve executed our “Hybrid Agility to Work” leave plan, which includes WFH, paid family care leave, cross-time zone working hours etc., allowing our employees to simultaneously take care of their career and family health.
2. Working environment and ER activates
Apart from working from home, we also aim to create an unforgettable working experience in the office. We believe having an unblocked communication channel is essential when it comes to creating an ideal working environment, for we have our online communication platform, along with the quarterly held “Town Hall Meeting”, we create an environment where our employees can communicate with the chair-person and general manager directly. In addition, we participate in the Sun Moon Lake swim fest, the Taroko Marathon, etc. to increase cross-departmental interaction.
3. Compensation & Benefits
TCC provides an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) in which employees contribute a fixed amount each month to a stock ownership trust account, and the company also makes a 1:1 contribution to this plan, helping our employees to hold company stock and accumulate wealth. The participation rate has reached 97.05% in 2021.
4. Learning and Development
In order to cultivate talents with cross-disciplinary expertise and global competence, not only do we have our own online learning platform, but also work with the world’s top universities, such as MIT, for joint researches and participate in their world trend conferences.
To encourage young talents to join, we’ve stepped foot into campus to share our vision regarding environmental protection and provide summer internships and Management Trainee Plan.
