Mingtai Insurance Corporation was formed in 1961 and have expanded its offices across Taiwan due to its stable financial ability. Not only is our headquarters located in the heart of Taipei, Mingtai also have 16 branches along with 25 offices that provide a variety of services throughout the island.

Mingtai became a part of the Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group in 2005. Through continuous integration of resources and adapting to corporate strategies from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, Mingtai have been eager to introduce management system and welfares that match global standard. We will continue to provide the most caring services to our customers and strive to be the most heart-warming globalized property insurance company in Taiwan.

Not only do we provide a generous leave system that gives out more paid leaves to our employees than government regulation, we also have a variety of leaves such as Golden week and VTO.

Furthermore, Mingtai provide its employees flexible working hours and the luxury to work from home. Moreover, we have enhanced work-life balance by incorporating “No-Overtime Wednesday” as part of our company culture. In Mingtai, we have formed a “CSV Employees’ Well-being Team” that is dedicated to improve and to enhance employees’ happiness and engagement. The core value of this team is to optimize the welfare system and to correspond to employees’ expectation accordingly.

Training program to enhance and develop personal professional skills

Mingtai provide a complete and transparent training program and career development for each individual. In Mingtai, we have a buddy system and a complete learning map to help new comers to get onboard. There are also trainings provided by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance group to enhance professional skills of employees. In Mingtai, we are proud to say that we have a fair and transparent performance evaluation system that is being provided to our employees.

Our President, Calvin Chen, runs a management trainee program that is determined to raise and to cultivate talents in insurance industry. In this program, young talents will be able to communicate and exchange ideas with managers directly. As learning is a big part of MIngtai, we have provided a variety of benefits to motivate our employees. We have benefits such as professional license incentives, compensation based on skill sets, and scholarships for employees to pursue their passion and to build up their professional skills.

CSR and Environmental Sustainability

“To contribute to the development of a vibrant society and help secure a sound future for the planet, by enabling safety and security through the global insurance and financial services business.” Mingtai have incorporated and carry on the mission from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group.

We have continued to provide a variety of new products in spirit of corporate social responsibility to create a better society for people. For example, Mingtai have worked together with Taipei City Council’s promotion in animal adoption from animal shelter, to provide full pet insurance in 2019. Moreover, we have partnered with the Council of Agriculture and came up with insurance that covers avian influenza to prevent and to minimize the loss for farmers. Mingtai have also held Musical Theatre Camp for teens with Punctum Drama to enhance awareness in campus security. Last but not least, Mingtai have development the first UBI Automobile Insurance Policy based on society needs. Through this policy, Mingtai is able to improve safety in driving.
