Our energetic team at Swire Coca-Cola HK (SCCHK) is working in the tallest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world and living in SCCHK values with engaging workplace and collaborated culture.

Apart from the new office facilities adopting an open plan to foster collaboration and creativity, we put great emphasis on staff wellness, with monthly refresh staff events covering health and safety as well as diversity and inclusion. As the key to talent development, SCCHK focuses on providing clear career paths and promotion schemes to colleagues. The newly launched SCCHK Academy also enables colleagues to equip themselves with skills in leadership, digital, supply chain, or sales and marketing.

Our Office Facilities

In June of 2021, we were excited that our new open office has been reopened after 10 months of renovation work. The office renovation project is one of the key milestones in the SCCHK’s Quantum Leap business transformation programme. This new office environment enables us to have more cross-departmental collaborations and synergies and will lead us to a better future. Facilities including Open Office Area to provide an office environment with earlier communication across different departments, Coca-Cola World to provide a spacious area for large group meetings and events, Multi-function / Meeting Rooms with a total of 9 multi-function/meeting rooms in different sizes accompanied with advanced equipment, Telephone Booth to offer a silent space for conference calls and zoom meetings, Wellness Room to provide a private space for colleagues in special needs, i.e. new mum for breast milk pumping, Common Area to provide a relaxing area for small group discussions.

Our Staff Wellness

Safety Safety is always important in SCCHK. To strengthen all employees’ safety awareness, we kicked-off a 14-week safety programme in mid-July 2021 to remind every colleague to avoid any injury and accident caused by carelessness and inattention.

The safety programme covers all teams across the organisation. Our General Manager recorded a kick-off video to encourage colleagues to join the activities. More teams and departments also assisted in producing safety videos. They shared cases and experiences to promote the 14 Life-Saving Rules, and reminded everyone to ensure safe practices at all times. To recognise the outstanding performed driver, Safety Driver Awards program has been established in July 2021 to further promote safety culture.

Diversity and Inclusion (D&I)
To create a diverse and inclusive workplace, we enhanced office facilities, such as including accessible toilets and wellness room, and provided colleagues with different activities and regular trainings on D&I, including “Swire Coca-Cola Female Leadership Forum”, “Diversity and Inclusion Week in November 2021”, unconscious bias seminar and anti-discrimination law seminar. In addition, we launched various communication channels, such as Swire Coca-Cola Global Employee Survey and VOICES employee survey to collect views and staff experience.

Lives with Brand Love
Engagement initiatives to support new product launch such us Returnable Glass Bottle, OOHA & Innocent etc. Distribute exclusive brand premium and new product to colleagues & family.

Monthly Refresh Staff Events
We implement monthly refresh staff events to all colleagues covering D&I workshops, physical & mental health, family engagement, fruit, snack & festival food.

D&I Workshops : Invited professional star chef to teach colleagues to make Halloween-themed cookies. Organising yoga wheel class for colleagues to relax after a day of busy work. Yoga wheel targets those with stiff back and tight shoulder muscles, improving back pain and sitting posture.

Physical & Mental Health : Stretching exercise to encourage colleagues to build a healthy and safe lifestyle and we hired professional coaches to teach “efficient stretching” in the plant. Neck-shoulder-arm massage was prepared for colleagues to relax during a day of work.

Family Engagement : To celebrate the new office reopened, family was invited to join Office Open Day to have great visit and games to our engaging workplace in a weekend. And to thank colleagues for their hardwork in 2021, we organised Swire Coca-Cola HK Fun Day and invited all colleagues, their families and friends to enjoy a weekend with fun together.

Fruit, Snack & Festival Food : Black sesame sweet soup and papaya stewed snow fungus sweet soup are the best choices for the dry weather in Autumn.

Employee Engagement Survey

In order to collect the suggestions and feedback from colleagues. Global Employee Engagement Survey has been held by every 2 years and VOICES employee survey by every half year. After the survey, we would communicate with all colleagues about the follow up actions’ status via Town Hall transparently.

Our Learning & Development

The newly launched SCCHK Academy also enables colleagues to equip themselves with skills in leadership, digital, supply chain, or sales and marketing.  

Our Society

V Group has been established to organise volunteer activities such as the “Ma Shi Chau Costal Cleanup Day” to encourage colleagues and their family and friends attended. In 2022, voluntary leave has been newly implemented to recognise the positive behaviour from the staff.
