Our People
We embarked on a multi-year DEI strategy starting 2020 to create a diverse and equitable workplace and the community, covering all aspects of inclusion i.e. race & culture, sexual orientation, gender and disability, to drive an inclusive culture and brand with diverse talent that drives high-performance; until each one of us belongs. We continue to expand our Employee Resources Groups (ERGs) to reflect the diversity of our employee base in partnership with external organisations such as Women’s Foundation, Community Business, Sensational Foundation, ImpactHK, CareER, The Zubin Foundation amongst others. To lay the foundation, we regularly update our Code of Conduct and set compulsory trainings to promote respect, dignity and tolerance, of self and others, and create an environment that is free of discrimination, harassment and violence. All in all, creating one of the best places to work for in Hong Kong cannot be the result of HR alone; the successes that Manulife has made, particularly in the last two years is a testimony of the culture that HR, the leadership team, and importantly our employees have collaboratively created.
