Living the Community
At Generali, we pride ourselves on being an active corporate citizen and embodies living the community as one of its core values. Through our global movement of people helping people - The Human Safety Net (“THSN”), we are committed to unlocking the potential of people living in vulnerable circumstances, so that they can transform the lives of their families and communities. THSN is now present in 24 different countries across Europe, South America and Asia. It partners with 62 NGOs in the globe and has supported over 200,000 parents, children and refugees. In 2021 alone, it has mobilised 10.8 million euros (approximately HK$82 million) to support those in need.In Hong Kong, THSN partners with OneSky to support vulnerable families with young children during their most formative years. THSN invests in their parenting training program as well as sponsors a play area in their state-of-the-art Family Centre in Sham Shui Po where children can develop their motor, cognitive and socio-emotional skills. Over and above monetary support, THSN also engages employees in various fundraising and volunteering opportunities throughout the year, including a Fundraising Challenge where staff set a goal to hike 1000kms collectively, a Mid-Autumn Festival event with the beneficiary families, and an annual Christmas Party event to spread the festive joy.
Wellbeing and Wellness
We deeply care about our employees and their wellbeing and strive to create a safe environment so everyone can bring their full selves to work.All our employees can access our Employee Wellness Program which offers complimentary confidential advice, counseling and referral services, and free unlimited consultation services through Teladoc where staff and eligible family members can enjoy consultation services with a registered physician and/or psychologist in the comfort of their own home.
As part of World Mental Health Day, we also introduced a series of initiatives to encourage everyone to think about their mental health and wellbeing as well as provide the opportunity to understand the importance of good mental health in our everyday lives and in the workplace. This includes a day off for all employees to focus on their wellbeing, yoga classes, a gratitude wall to express thankfulness, and a series of wellbeing related seminars.

We also understand that employees may have to cater to family and personal needs outside of Hong Kong. Our Overseas Working Policy permits employees to travel internationally to perform his or her work duties or related activities in an alternative work location for a short term period.

We offer Leave over and above the Employment Ordinance as we recognize the importance of work-life balance. In addition to Paternity Leave and Maternity Leave, we also have Adoption Leave so that employees who choose to adopt are given equal amount of paid time off to take care of their child.
