Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Ltd. (previously known as Prudential Vietnam Finance Company), has officially operated with Shinhan Finance brand name (as a member of Shinhan Card) since July 2019. Our Learning & Development

We have a signature 2-day Orientation Training which gathers all new employees from all location nation-wide so they can meet each other and learn about the Company.

Our learning activities focus in 3 pillars:
  • Personal Development : we believe that every change starts with each individual. If we can help each person to become a better version of themselves, their performance, their relationships, and other aspects of life will benefit from that. We start the personal development journey with self-awareness tools including 360-degree feedback and personality identification, which are followed by many courses on improving self.
  • Technical skills : technical skills play an important part of one’s performance. We provide several learning solutions to improve technical skills including in-class training, sharing from Management team, cross-team sharing, internal transfer, and sponsorship for technical qualification. We also develop iTrainer program where internal trainers are identified and trained so they can conduct technical training skill to share and pass on organizational knowledge.
  • Leadership development : Multiple surveys have confirmed “Employees don’t leave the organization; they leave the manager”. We also understand that an organization can’t be successful if the managers don’t manage their teams effectively. Therefore, we design a 5-module Leadership Development Program to equip our managers with necessary skill and knowledge.
At Shinhan Finance, we also provide self-learning solutions for our employees including e-learning, library, book exchange, sponsorship for foreign languages.

Our Employee Engagement & Empowerment

Our leadership identify employee engagement as one of the top business priorities. As such, we regular conduct Employee Engagement Survey every 2 years to get employees’ input for action plan. In addition, we also conduct Stay Interview for getting our employees’ insight on the reason they stay with company so we can leverage our strengths.

Engagement survey is the first step of empowering our employees by asking their opinion. Upon the survey results, we also involve them in the process of developing action plan and ask them to vote for their preferred action.

Shinhan Finance follows Shinhan Financial Group to have a proactive policy with targets that cover three pillars including “Responsible Growth,” “Social Partnerships” and “Investments for the Future”. We have been extending the optimal capabilities for our corporate citizenship and sponsoring activities. Our initiatives include Go Green campaign focusing on increasing our awareness and change our behavior to protect our Mother Planet, blood donation , providing books for libraries in the provinces, Vietnam agriculture support in the outbreak of Covid-19, etc.
