About Amway Global & Amway Vietnam

Amway was founded in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel and revolutionized the business model known as direct selling. Today, we’re still disrupting the retail industry by empowering Amway Business owners to be leaders in social commerce.

Established in April 2008, Amway Vietnam, a subsidiary of Amway Corporation, is a nutrition and beauty leading company with more than 300 staffs and over 300,000 distributors in Vietnam.

But creating the culture that works for all of us requires a focused effort on specific areas. Therefore, Amway fosters the changes with culture evolution deployment strategy on GROW Initiatives, covering:
  • GROW POTENTIAL - by re-design our Continuous Performance Management & Reward strategy that aims to inspire and encourage personal growth, as we learn every day and reach our full potential. As moving from annual objectives to quarterly priorities, it is made more simplified priorities set with frequent Quarterly Check – in conversation on progress, personal growth and demonstration action of our FGM principles & habits by applying our new FGM Competency Model and leverage feedback from different perspectives. Therefore, the performance summary & rewards have been shifted from quantitative rating to qualitative categories, considering performance on priorities and how everyone contributes & live the Culture of FGM. At Amway, growth & development is more than an annual event, it is a continuous journey.
  • GROW LEADER – by a character development journey targeted to leaders to shift to a mindset of leading with Love and Humility, through self-awareness of their inner motivations to align our Leadership Character & behavior with our Corporate vision & values. The journey starts with 12 weeks of training and 4 hours 1:1 coaching with a Heart styles certified coach to have an insight into effective/ineffective leadership behavior and what could be improved & sharing through Leadership Exchange sessions. Then it is followed by the series of Leadership Activation activities aiming for leaders to role model and activate what leading with Love and Humility looks like in Amway culture among their team. It’s driven by the goal that every single person at Amway feels supported and that their leader reflects the Amway culture.
  • GROW ENVIRONMENT - A global commitment made locally relevant to welcome and encourage people from all backgrounds to be their true selves and share their diverse perspectives through an on-going campaign of “Be You” for a vision of Inclusion & Diversity. At Amway we actively encourage everyone to be their true authentic selves and speak openly & directly, sparking solutions that help us meet the challenges of today's evolving competitive and societal landscape and innovate social content and products that resonate with existing ABOs and help to expand and attract new ABOs and customers. By that, everyone is enabled to reach their full potential through ongoing learning, contribution, development, and recognition. When people bring their authentic selves to work, we all thrive!
  • GROW TALENT & ENGAGEMENT: This initiative focuses on the small, but meaningful, everyday experiences that influence the way our employees feel at work. How we are treated and recognized. What our work environment looks and feels like. To implement this initiative, there is a Quarterly Culture Survey to understand employee’s perspective in real time, learn what we are doing well and what areas we can improve. In 2020 & 2021, Amway Vietnam is flexible to promote Work by design & provide employee care during Covid 19 quarantine. Moreover, many of Culture change management campaigns and well-being activities are organized on strategic frequent & employees’ needs basic, through annual Fitness Challenge program to promote healthy lifestyle with Amway nutrition products as a key example. Another aspect is Talent Development. We design & implement global & local talent development journey in 24-month journey. Our development approach is bespoke and scalable where our talents tailor their development journey using KFALP (Korn Ferry Assessment Leadership Potential) result, then able to scale their journey & curate their own learning. Besides that, we also have development program curriculum for first time leader or new leaders joining Amway onboarding program that will support them to go through FGM fundamental, Human Resources fundamental & Leadership fundamental.
