DIAGEO IN SOCIETY

Diageo is determined to build an organization that will prosper over the very long term. As a global company, we have an important role to play in ensuring that the communities we are part of can thrive. The work we do in the societies and communities is fully integrated with our strategic priorities. We want to deliver consistent performance and have a positive impact where we live, work, source and sell.

Society 2030: Spirit of Progress is Diageo’s global sustainable development plan, which focuses on three core areas – promoting positive drinking, championing inclusion and diversity, and pioneering grain-to-glass sustainability – in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The plan reiterates the company’s determination to becoming one of the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer product companies in the world.

We want to change the way the world drinks for the better by celebrating moderation and continuing to address alcohol-related harm, expanding our programs that tackle underage drinking, drink-driving and binge drinking. In Thailand, we aim to educate at least 250,000 consumers and partners through DrinkiQ programme over the coming years. Our Learning for Life program aims to provide hospitality skill to over 150,000 people over the course of ten years. We want to be the industry leader in grain to glass sustainability by setting ambitious targets to preserve water for life; accelerate to a low carbon world; and become sustainable by design.

All the programs mentioned above are driven not only by the dedicated Corporate Relations function, but everyone in Diageo can take part. In F21, we set up the Future Forces represented by our people as a spearhead to meet our Society 2030 goals for Thailand.
