Baxter invests in employees’ growth and development through a multitude of programs focused on professional and personal betterment. The cornerstone of Baxter’s philosophy is SmartDevelopment - development rich in experiences and supported by feedback & training.“This is where we can be AGILE” was 2021 Career Month’s theme of which Baxterians learnt about growth and innovative mindset through a series of event and workshop. To support on-demand learning, all employees have access to BaxU - an online portal with plethora of learning resources, which is also available on mobile devices through the Cornerstone learning platform for staff to access learning ‘on the go’. The BaxGrow Program was introduced to talented individuals and provided them with the opportunity to enrich their experiences by putting what they learnt online into practice and work on an assigned project related to their field alongside with senior leader mentors. In addition, young Baxter professionals can also grow through the +Me Program, taking on additional responsibilities which serve to broaden their exposure and develop leadership capabilities. People managers can elevate their managerial capability through formal leadership training and informal peer network such as People Manager Forum. A quarterly forum for people managers to take away applicable tips on latest people management topics.

Through the Baxter International Foundation, we collaborate with partners around the world to improve access to healthcare, make a positive impact to communities and develop the next generation of innovators.Every year, Baxter employees participate in various corporate social responsibility activities to help the less fortunate. For 8 consecutive years, Baxter Thailand has been recognized with ACE Gold Award by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand for our CSR activities.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Baxterians stay true to our mission to save and sustain lives with relentless support for healthcare professionals and patients. We provided US$2.5 million in financial support globally for humanitarian relief organizations and expanded employment opportunities. In Thailand, Baxter provided donation to the hospitals with high penetration of COVID-19 cases to support the medical needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
We are continuously working to ensure an engaging employee experience during a work from home period with an introduction of an HR chatbot, SEA Baxbot 2.0 to address employees’ needs instantaneously. It also supports employee recognition program thus supporting Baxter’s recognition culture with ease of convenience.
